Do you know if you had usb debugging enabled on your N7 before it quit working?
I have no idea - sorry
Is there anything in that android storage backup folder I see?

stock recovery - how do I get to that??? is it on the win backup file??
and ok Thank you Atma
I think it leaves the /sdcard partition in tact

You're welcome, sorry we haven't made any progress.
I can't even remember for sure how to get to recovery. I think you hold both volume buttons and power button at the same time.
How do you get to stock recovery???
- it needs a good charge though so I will update you as and when it is fully charged

it is now working - i guess that'll teach me for not backing everything up -
thank you all for your help![]()

That's great Kate!
Just in case of future problems, I would enable USB Debugging in Developer Options. If you don't see developer options, go to settings > about phone/tablet, scroll to the bottom where it says build number. Tap on that 7 times and developer options will appear. Select that and then check the box for usb debugging.

I tapped the build number 7 times but every time i tapped it, a message would appear at the bottom screen saying. "no need, you are already a developer"
Its not letting me get to the USB debugging, what now?![]()
