Help Nexus 7 - Im having a major problem

I'm guessing it doesn't have usb debugging enabled and that's why you're getting device not found.

Fastboot is a command used to get to the bootloader.

Is it still rebooting when you try to unlock it?

The only thing I can think of is try a factory reset, but, I haven't had the Nexus 7 in a long time and I can't remember if that wipes data like your pictures that you're trying to save. I don't think it does, but wait until someone with the N7 jumps in to let you know for sure before you try it.

If you can get to the stock recovery and do that it may help.

Damn, I was just going to ask you that Atmazzz.:(

I think it leaves the /sdcard partition in tact and may resolve the bootlooping, hopefully long enough to turn on ADB Debugging. My N7's screen is shattered or I would test.:(

well - after trying everything else - ive been forced to do a factory reset :( - it needs a good charge though so I will update you as and when it is fully charged :(

Yaaaaay!!!:)

You could look into Dropbox for backups of images. I use it on my phone, N7 (when it worked), and laptop and it automatically keeps my images synced between the three.

it is now working - i guess that'll teach me for not backing everything up -
thank you all for your help :)

That's great Kate! :)

Just in case of future problems, I would enable USB Debugging in Developer Options. If you don't see developer options, go to settings > about phone/tablet, scroll to the bottom where it says build number. Tap on that 7 times and developer options will appear. Select that and then check the box for usb debugging.

I tapped the build number 7 times but every time i tapped it, a message would appear at the bottom screen saying. "no need, you are already a developer"
Its not letting me get to the USB debugging, what now? :)

ok, then you should already have a developer options. Is it showing up in settings? It should be near the bottom I think.

I think that after you press the build number 7 times you need to press the back button to see developer options.

Developer Options is second from the bottom. Did the reset remove your pictures and other data or is that still there?
