Root Nexus Gallery rotation in 2.1 root

So I am back to having the Nexus gallery that cannot rotate from port to land mode since I rooted my phone. I used the same .apk that I did when I had an Eris on 2.1v3 and it worked fine on that phone.

Is there something special I have to do now that I am on 2.1 root?

Still working on the N1 gallery issue...came across something else that was fixed before. My Gmail does not display embedded pics again. My old Eris on 2.1v3 showed them. Now on 2.1 root they are back to being little blue squares w/ ? marks inside them.

just make sure your using a rom based off the v3 leak.

yeah...i think my rom was not based off of the last leak. gotta find the latest official 2.1 w/ root.

Here is a link for the leak V3 with root if you want to stay original instead of a using modded ROM. I'm using it and the gallery works fine on it.

EDIT: Well, I got to play with the KaosFroyo roms first

Even Cyanogen cant get nexus gallery working right on a lot of things. Ditch it and go back to "Photos".

I flashed to the Plain Jane rom last night and got the gallery and embedded pics working. whew.
