Help Nexus muted while charging

Help. Searched and cant find anything on this problem. Just bought my nexus a few days ago and everything working great except for when i am charging it in the car. I tried two different chargers and both are showing AC while charging but if i call someone they cant hear me, but i can hear them fine? Once i unplug either of the chargers they hear me perfectly. It is as I'd they've phone is muted while being charged? I didn't think to try it with a Bluetooth headset or on speakerphone. Maybe Google fixed this so you can't drive and talk on the phone at the same time?? i love the phone and just hope this is a setting somewhere?

Thanks foe your help and sorry if this has been discussed before. I just can't find it.
 
Does this happen every time? THere is a one-way phone audio issue that is occuring, but it is more intermittant... Since you have only had it a few days, I would recommend doing a factory reset, and seeing if somewhere an app you installed is causing the problem. If that doesn't fix it, I would exchange it, its possible you got a defective phone.
 
Thanks for the advice , tried it again last night and it worked ok. Must be intermittent. Will give it a few more tries. I don't have to many apps on this phone yet. Still have a week left on the 14 day deal.
 
From what I heard the phone is being deemed defective by Verizon for this issue, and they are exchanging it. But remember you will get a refurb in its place.

By the way, I am one with the one way audio issue, really annoying btw. However I am wondering, what is the build date of yours?

It's a .10 version. I tried several calls on the way home from work. Really, hit or miss. About 1/2 the calls were bad. Even with the speakerphone it was giving me trouble. With the charger plugged in I made one call and the person on the other end said they could barely here me and when I unplugged the charger they could hear me fine. I have also had it cut out twice not hooked to the charger. Going to call Verizon tonight and try and get a replacement. I love this phone but really need it working with the charger. Everything else seems ok.
