nexus reception issue

just got my galaxy nexus and loving it so far except for one majorrrrrr issue....ive just been at home so far today and i cant get any reception except for a few areas ill pick up one maybe two bars at the most and its killing my battery..

is the radio in the gsm nexus just really weak or is there a phone problem here? i had a galaxy s2 before this for at&t and i never had great signal while at my house it was always relatively weak, solid two bars but i hardly ever lost signal for 10-15 mins at a time with that phone like i do with the nexus....since their both samsung phones shouldn't they have the same reception, same radio?

GNex doesn't have the greatest signal in the world, but also there seems to be some rather significant variation between individual phones. Although with the GSM version (assuming that is what you have, you mention AT&T), I didn't think this was as significant of an issue as it is with the VZW LTE one...

yah i have the gsm version...i assumed it would have the same radios in it as the galaxy s2 did because that phone worked great in my house but this one keeps losing signal its so frustrating.....usually works everywhere else cept for here
