thats what i have been doing, someone posted this in another thread, but they believed there was a program running with moto blur that was controlling the batter, which was why it lasted so long. i wonder how much of this we can really be for sure about

I think it was more the fact that stock GB on the DX was more optimized to work on the DX, while Vanilla Android could be used on any phone with minimal to no tweaks.

but its not a true vanilla rom though. not what we have anyway, cause we are using an exploit to work around it.

its not in the roadmap though, you can see verizons leaked roadmap on phandroid, and the sgs2 isnt there... such a shame sprints getting it, i dun see why verizon wouldnt

for real, more locked up devices on vzw, i probably wont purchase another phone until i know the bootloader is unlocked for sure, nexus phones thats different, they are unlocked, so if vzw gets one woohoo go me

It seems like they are heading to unlocking, at least HTC is, but at the price of the warranty it seems.

which makes no sense though, all of there other phones are unlocked, so if they unlock these phones and it voids warranty, why are the previous phones out voided? they are unlocked, gotta treat them all equally....

Because they can't track those, these they will be able to track.

but tracking phones could be labeled by some people as an invasion of privacy, knowing your exact location because your able to track the phone because someone unlocked the bootloader. i bet someone would try out for a lawsuit on that

Well, not really tracking as in following your movements, but as in knowing which phones are bootloader unlocked and which aren't, I think there's a difference.
