Yeah, Wainwright does have nearly identical numbers, Ubaldo just faded. I think that el perfecto Ol' Roy threw should make the differenceNot sure why you even added options past Halladay on this one. Theres no question here

My reasoning in no particular order
Halladay has the following over Wainwright
the perfect game
4 more complete games and 2 more shutouts
20 more innings pitched
26 less walks and 6 more strike outs.
I am from PA and a Phillies fan (so I am slightly biased)
The rest of their stats are almost exactly the same though.
Yeah. Didnt Wainwright get 2nd in last year's CY as well? He is definitely a top pitcherThe perfecto and those CGs/SOs (shut outs) will most likely be the extra umph Halladay needs to pick up this years award.

Yes thats right. They probably took votes from each other and that gave little Timmy his 2nd straight. I bet Lincecum doesnt get a single 1st place vote this yearYeah, he placed 2nd last year as well. Carpenter finished 3rd in the voting last year too. Cards had a stellar staff last season but just didn't perform in the post season.

Yeah Jimenez really had some back luck not getting to 21 or even 22 wins let alone 20 but also was very inconsistent. Some loses he deserved and some ND's should have been wins. But it is what it is. He should be third in the voting methinksNope, he won't. He pitched pretty damn good down the stretch but Halladay, Wainwright and Jimenez were just that much better overall throughout the entire season.
So I know its a regular season award but this thread is officially closed now after the 2nd no-no this year.

Fixed that for ya buddyI dont think voting takes place until November although I could be wrong so yea I would say this will get factored in even if it is a regular season award. Stuff like the 2nd post season no hitter ever is impossible to ignore.
