No internet

So I updated my friends hero to 2.1 and 2 days later no internet. Ev on and can download apps from market. What's wrong?

A bit more info is required. What carrier is he/she using, as it sounds like the APN settings could be at fault?

Tried reboot? Tried turning it on through the settings?

Is the wifi enabled? Can the wifi be enabled if there's no network present? Like it'll just switch back to evdo right?

Should freely switch between mobile network and WiFi if it can't find WiFi. Go through settings and turn mobile network off then back on, see if the works.

I remember having almost the same problem when i first got my phone. I could make calls and send texts but no downloading of pic mail, e-mail, market place and no internet. After about 6 hours it just...worked itself out. I dunno.
