Root No more boot animation

I recently tried to get a custom boot animation on my Droid X and copied the bootanimation.zip into system/media and now instead of a boot animation i have a black screen. How can i get the stock animation back on there? should i put my custom boot animations in data/local instead?

First off yes always just but custom boot animations in /data/local

**Nevermind. i was able to find a stock animation file from a system dump on this forum and after uploading the file back i now have a stock boot animation (phew)**

Now i'll upload any boot animations to data/local instead
