Root No Network or Phone access After Rooting

Friend of mine rooted her phone with Unrevoked 3.3x, and there's now an "x" above the network signal meter showing there's no access to the network.

She has the superuser icon now, Im assuming that she's rooted and GTG on that end.

There's no access to the phone, cant dial #228, nothing.

Suggestions?

Not sure if you mistyped or not but activate by dialing *228.

Good call, it was / is a mistype. I ended up putting a new ROM on there and seems to be OK; or I've not heard from her as of yet being that I didnt have her password.
