Moved to the root section.

Did you make a backup with TWRP before wiping the system??

If not, you will need to find a rom to flash. I'm sure the nice folks in the M8 section can help you pick one out. :)

that is a bit scary ..... but i guess you can still download a rom via pc, copy to phone and flash it

mmmm....ok - maybe using ADB? im not certain as havent tried it - im fairly sure in twrp you can also mount storage manually so that this can be seen by the pc

hi - sorry ive not done it myself with twrp - i would suspect that in advanced setting there is option to mount storage - if so, once selected, you should then see your phone sd card once connected to pc - if that works, then you can copy a rom to it, and then flash in twrp as normal

thats good :)
those pics dont show for me - sorry

so did you wipe the phone through twrp?

...oh, is the boot loader unlocked? ie using htc website etc

imking, can you provide more information about your phone?

What carrier is it on? What android version were you on before wiping the system? Is the device s-on or s-off?

Can you tell us the information that's on your bootloader screen?

Also, can you use fastboot and run this command: fastboot getvar all

We will need some information to help you select a rom to use, etc...

Also, this phone has removable storage (sd card) right? If so, do you have a card reader or a spare device that you can put the sd card into to transfer a rom from the computer?

thanks Brian - think he said it was sprint

.....have you tried twrp yet to see if you have the mount option?

did you have a rom to flash when you wiped?

hello brian,

carrier was sprint
it was s-off

hi dan , i ve wiped it through twrp, i can see mount option
how can i put rom into sd card and do it , pl help me

hi,
if you select the mount option for sd - then attach phone to pc - then should be able to copy rom to phone - then will be able to see it in twrp and flash it

...im guessing the fastboot cmd above would be in the ADB directory/folder on your pc - but not sure

and i cannt see fastboot getvar all
That's actually a command you enter when the phone is in fastboot mode. Have you used fastboot? If you unlocked the bootloader through HTC, then you should be familiar...

What version of android is/was your phone on? Jellybean? KitKat?? We need to find a rom but the roms are firmware dependent.

OK King, the most important thing is to give as much information as you can. With a few more pieces of the puzzle, we should be able to tell you exactly how to proceed.

Please answer all of these questions:

1) Do you have a micro SD card you can put in the phone?

2) If yes, do you have a way to transfer files to it without using your M8?

3) What computer OS are you using? (Windows, Mac, Linux, other)

4) Did you download a ROM from post #3 in the MikMik thread Brian linked?

@dan: 8 bit rocks. The original Final Fantasy is still the best IMO!
