Root NO OS

will check that out Chief :)

good idea about the sd card - pull it out and copy rom to it - easiest way im thinking

cheers

King, how/why are you flashing a recovery? If you can flash a recovery, flashing a ROM should be a piece of cake...

hello chief,

yes i had the sd card

yes i can transfer files

im using windows 8 64 bit

yes downloaded from tha link .

thnx, whats tghe next step , pls

You should be able to simply copy the ROM zip file to the sd card, then install it from recovery. I'm not familiar with Philz, but in TWRP, you would just select install, then navigate to the location you saved the ROM and select it. Should be very similar in Philz.

are you an 8 bit gamer then Brian? :)
Why yes, yes I am. :)

Have you seen the show code monkeys? It's where my avatar is from. It's a show done entirely in 8 bit about 8 bit game programmers.. Pretty funny and lots of nostalgia.

There's a lot of little details in that show that are easy to miss that bring you back.

Super off topic but it sounds like we're making some progress. We're getting close to a rom flash!

where can i find one ?? (ROM)
and which one do u prefer?

You said you downloaded one from MikMik, use that.

I prefer Viper, Sense ROM with lots of tweaks.

Look here: [thread=839350]ViperOne[/thread]

Edit: It uses a program called Aroma Installer to set up the ROM, the touch screen doesn't work right on Sprint. You have to use the volume and power buttons to select options, or touch with one finger, then touch again with another and with the first finger still in place. If you use the volume to navigate you can't really see where you are at, the 3 dot menu is the "bottom," so use volume down extra times to make sure you are at the "bottom," then go "up" one to select "next."
