Root No Push Notifications

I flashed NoLimit06 today and all of a sudden my push notifications don't work for my Twitter app. They work fine in FreshEvo, Deck, MikG, CM7, or any other ROM. I don't know what the deal is.

Yes everything is set up to receive them like it has always been.

Have you tried a fresh install of the app?

Delete the current one and redownload from the market. I guess it wouldn't hurt to wipe the caches afterward. Give that a try, see if it makes a difference.

I'm not a tweeter, so I'm not really current with that app. If it's across roms, it might be an issue with the Twitter servers or something.

Deleting and reinstalling the app (directly from the Market) is the first thing I did. Didn't help. I'm restoring my FreshEvo ROM to see if it works.
 
I'm not sure but was that one of the things pulled out of this Rom to make it "Slim and Tweaked"?

It doesn't come with the Gmail app. You need to get that one in the market. The OP does mention that Facebook is in it but nothing about Twitter.

It has never been a problem when I switched ROMs. :/ this ROM (NoLimits06 and MIUI) are the only one's that is has happened and I used to flash a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT! Lol
 
FYI: As soon as I restore I get my mentions and direct messages. *sigh* I don't like FreshEVO anymore 1) hasn't been updated for a while 2) it's not 4.67 and doesn't contain the newest kernel. :(

Sort of off subject from the topic of my thread, what are ALL the newest 4.67 updated Sense 1.0 ROMs? My brain hurts from reading waaay to many posts :/

Hmmm, very strange there. So it's working fine on your Fresh nandroid?

Might have to dig a little on this one.

Yea :( NoLimits and MIUI (the latest) are the only two ROMs it just didn't work for. On MIUI it would turn itself off. I would turn it back on, press the back arrow, then go back into settings and it's off lol. NoLimits it stayed on but nothing ever came. I asked my friends to randomly send me stuff. My timeline on the app was full of mentions but nothing came to my phone until I restored my previous nand.

Is it just those two Roms?

What about when you're on MikG?

Maybe it's the new OTA as the base messing with the push notifications. I'm not finding much in my searches, kinda frustrating, lol. :o

I'm going to check with Nolimit and see if he's heard of any other folks having issues with this.

Well, whenever I used Team Nocturnal's updated ROM, they worked lol so I don't think it's the 4.67 update causing it. Also thank you for helping me look and for checking up with NoLimit

Crap, I was hoping it was the 4.67 update, then I would know what was wrong. I hate not being able to figure something out, lol. :mad:

No problems with the help, thats what the community is for. :)
 
I PM'd Nolimio to see if he's had any issues with it, or heard of anything. Maybe he'll be able to help out, he's got a little more "technical skill" than I. :)

Thanks! Also I found my Team Nocturnal nand on my computer and restored it and my mentions still work so its definitely not the OTA.
 
It could still be the 4.67... TN may have just fixed it already

A lot of people were having sync issues with no limits. Dont know f he got those sorted out or not.

His Rom started out as a stock base with tweaks added from other devs.

I hope so. The ROM is nice, quick, slim, and updated. My Gmail did come in though but not the Twitter. I don't know. :confused:
