Ok I ordered an Optimus G2x (as it's being called here in the states) yesterday and it should be here Thursday. Being on the DX for the past 9 months has been great, but I'm soooo ready for an unlocked bootloader. However I'm a bit nervous by the lack of activity here in the root section of this device... are there no devs at work on it yet?
I know it's only been out here in the states for 4 days now, but it's been out in the UK for a while now, so I figured someone would have at least rooted it by now. If I get the device and there still hasn't been any dev work done to it within two weeks time (is that the grace period for returning a device here at T-Mo?) then I suppose I'll have to go with the Samsung even though I am not a fan of that device at all.
But I don't want to be tied down with a device that nobody is going to be making ROMs for, that would be even worse. I pray someone takes up this LG and runs with it. Because I'm sure by all the specs that I'm going to be really happy with it as a phone. But I was also happy with my DX as a phone, but it doesn't have the geek factor that other devices like HTC and Samsung have with all the ROMs available for them.
I hope I didn't jump the gun getting this thing.
