No "Zoom" in camera?

You should be able to either pinch to zoom (either pinch into what you want to zoom to or pinch out from where you want to zoom to) or swipe from left to right or right to left (in portrait) or up to down or down to up (in landscape) to zoom in or out. It varies from phone to phone, but those are the two most common.:)

Sweeping left to right, right to left, up to down, or down to up just swap between front facing and rear facing cameras. Pinching in or out will allow you to zoom in or out. When you do this, a slider will appear that you can drag for a little easier zoom control.

Digital zoom is just an artificial blow up of the current distance image, so is near worthless for pictures. You can simply post zoom and crop any picture to get the same result.

The N900 had a two position optical zoom and had a great camera. The rest of the device as a smartphone sucked though. Good camera and sound quality from headphones due to a built in pre-amp. Shame about all of the phone and OS part though.
