Noob needing rooting clairification

I am getting ready to root my GS2, but I need some clarification on a couple of things. Many google searches have not uncovered the answers, so I thought I would ask outright. I'm a recent convert from Iphone, and have been jailbreaking for about two years, but this seems a little more technical, and don't want to brick my shiny new phone!

My questions are regarding selecting the correct rom for the phone. I have a Bell (Canada) I9100M with UGKG2 kernel. I realize that I need to find a KG2 rom, but will the country code(UG) make a difference?There are three that I can find, but they are all different country codes. My second question is regarding the version numbers. Bell's newest rom is 2.3.3. The ROM's that I find are all newer than that. Do I have to do anything other that flash the new rom. If I flash up to 2.3.6 (if that's right), then can I flash back to 2.3.3 for warranty purposes? I have a jig on the way for the counter.

You need the SBF file for your phone get this and test it first to make sure it
works, you have a year warranty and i hope insurance.

Not sure if you have already found this thread in your Google searches, its probably the best guidance for you to follow.
