Root Noob Question about Rumm RX

Okay, so I rooted my DX using GingerBreak. I am running 2.3.3 with the .588. I downloaded and Installed BootStrap App. Setup recovery. I then downloaded ROM Manager (not premium) and chose to try out the Rumm RX Rom.

I allowed it to upload all three versions. Rumm RX then asked me if I wanted to reboot using it. I chose yes. Everything seemed to go well until I get to
"Rumm" Screen with Eye of Ra and Droid Guy wearing a white Coat.

Here's the question, how long does it take to get the phone running from there? Seems to not go past that and I can't boot into recovery mode.


Thoughts or Ideas?

Isn't Rumm Rx a froyo rom?

I'm thinking yes, after looking around some more.

Does this mean an sbf for me?

It will sometimes go past the rumm screen and just stay black.

Rebooting to recovery mode and it won't go past the Triangle

Yeah Man, SBF that dude then you could install it on froyo successfully. Or just run the new rooted OTA.

Yeah figured. I'll have to wait until tomorrow since I don't have a PC at home, just Mac. and I'm not really up to par on Linux.

Very cool. So burn the CD, boot the CD and follow prompts. I think I can do this.

Yup, it actually turned out better than I thought it would. Before running the Linux I was stuck (meaning I wasn't going to attempt anything more for the time being) on .588 now that I turned back the clock I'm on the .596 and can go back to a rooted X and have some more fun knowing I can fix it with a really easy SBF

Now that you see just how easy it is to SBF your phone ManDroidMN don't be afraid to try new things on your phone( roms, themes, mods). You now know how to save your phone if you mess anything up.
