So basically I flashed my phone using z4root just so I could take screencaps. I accomplished that really easy and then I decided I wanted to customize my droidx a little, but I have no clue what to do. I downloaded the boostrap recovery, but thats as far as I've gotten. Any help as to what and how I should download things now would be greatly appreciated! I don't wanna risk messing up my phonee..

Thank you so much! The guide was really easy to follow. Now that I have Apex what kinda cool stuff can I do with it?

Go to the apex thread and read around there and follow the link in there to the wiki for info on the toolbox etc

Absolutely backup your stuff before you start going to far. That way you can get back to an almost clean stock ROM right after you rooted. Make a complete backup using Bootstrap recovery and grab a copy of Titanium Backup and backup all of your apps and data. Then let the fun begin :)
