It reminds me of an etch-a-sketch.... its under the glass, but if i look at it from a certain angle i can see a shadow of the line on the digitizer. so its between the glass and the digitizer.....

It looks (and sounds) to me like a crack in the screen on the inside. In any event, I agree with picord on taking it back to where you bought it and requesting a replacement. The few things I can think of where that could be caused by the user would leave very obvious signs of damage elsewhere on the phone, and from the pictures you provided, I see nothing else wrong with the device.

Thanks for the input everyone. I went to the AT&T store i bought it from and they referred me to the warranty center in an adjacent building. went over there and the service guy looked at it, wiped it off with the cloth, then whipped out a magnifying glass and an LED light. after his review he deemed it to be a warranty issue. He said it looks like glue separation from the inside stating it looked as though it was between the digitizer and the glass. He also mentioned he had seen this before in other phones but this was the first time he had seen it or even heard of it in the Note3. I am backing up me device tonight and he said they will just swap it out with another phone. ill post whether or not it was new or refurbished. Thanks for the suggestion picord!

p.s. Thanks to you also xaelith, My device was pristine so there was no way he could say abuse or anything like that.

Wow, that's crazy. Glad that they deemed it worthy of warranty replacement. I was going to chime in saying that it reminded me of a LCD issue I had on one of my old projector TV's, except it was worse than just a simple line, but it kept growing (like you were saying).

Anyhow, be sure you copy all the files from your internal storage over to an external drive. That could save you some time in setting your phone up, once you have all your apps loaded back onto the phone.
