Not reaching maximum charge with USB 2 chargers

Big_z smarty pants alert! :)

I was going to chime in just to note the 2 amp vs 1 amp issue, but I think it got covered. I used my Samsung coupon to get a second 2 amp charger for my office, connector is USB 2.0 but it charges my note 3 to maximum seemingly just as fast as the USB 3.0 connector that came with the phone. I was under the impression the benefits to USB 3.0 were primarily data transfer, not charging.

But regardless how nice is it to not have to buy $100 in proprietary charging plugs a la Apple?

Posted a link in the accessories thread for seller on ebay that is selling OEM Samsung USB 3.0 chords. Initially, they were 6.99. Ever since I found that seller, more started popping up.

Will something like this work good when using the original charger?

Qi Wireless Charger Charging Pad for Samsung Galaxy Note III 3 N900 N9000 White | eBay

Or will the currency (whatever, im no electric) mess it up since it gets changed to wireless (Will it loose power when transfering to and back from wireless state so it goes from 2A to perhaps 1,8 etc because the shifting to another thing) i hope you understand

Since a 1A charger for my old HTC dosent fill the battery on my note 3 fully, will the power transfer with this device (with original note 3 charger) be ok? Since (as i understand it the 2A will lose alittle when being transfered wireless to perhaps 1,5-1,8A and then its not efficient enough?)

Or will the shifting/switching from one state to another change the 2A so little its not even measurable? (Like 1,999999999A)

Yes i know i have idiot simplified the question alittle, and perhaps put me in the idiot corner...

Wireless charging will always be a slower charge rate. I'm still a little puzzled why your HTC charger didn't charge the battery to the fullest capacity. Charge rate should've been slower, but still should've charged up to the max.

Nonetheless, the item you linked should work, as long as you have the wireless qi receiver in there. There's another thread discussing wireless charging. If you are going to get a non-OEM Qi wireless charger, you might as well get one that also has a 10000mah backup battery and dual USB slots. It's more bang for the buck. I purchased one from Amazon (prior to the rates being spiked up), but you can still find them for around 40-50 bucks, including the qi wireless receiver.
