Um, I know this is probably going to end up being moved but i have a tablet running ICS with no marks of what company its from but its a 3D tablet. Also I would like to root it and i need some help. Thanks

If there's no markings other than the usual "FCC Approved. Made in China", or any other indications of a make or model. General Tablet Talk is the usual place.

Look under the battery cover to see if you can find any info on the manufacturer of the device.

Or look in the settings menu under about tab.

Yeah but even then there is no way to get the battery out its a closed back, its apparently a protoype

Also to add more to the information that i can deliver is that, it is very very slow and i dont say many applications for the sytem as i would normally on say an android phone it does have the google play store installed and couple of things from the old owner, who I'm guessing designed or manufactured it. I wanna make it faster aswell it seems to be really cool and runs games fine(well for like 5 min then the tablet crasher) but when it comes to browsing the web or simply downloading apps its takes longer than my current LG Spirit

You're welcome. It runs slow you say? Have you done a factory reset on it to wipe it clean? That's a good way to wipe everything off from the previous owner and it could speed it up. Mgith just have to clear the cache on it, but I'm not too savvy when it comes to tablets.

Me either and I'm not really sure if its the same way as a android phone or if it will mess it up there are some vital things on this tablet since it runs 3D it has 3D players and videos for tests and it seems to have alot of storage space on it.

Doing a factory reset wont mess it up rather it will revert it back to the way it was as if it just came right out of the box.

Yeah i could do that but im not really sure that this guy even put in a recovery its a prototype after all

Is this what the tablet looks like?
If not a factory reset you could go to the apps menu and clear the cache on apps such as facebook, email, etc. and then restart it.

Yeah but it doesnt have the buttons on the side for navigation

Which buttons are you referring to? This tablet is the closest to what I can find that resembles yours and both are 3D tablets. You did say you have a prototype so this is probably the final result. Unfortunately we don't have a device section for it and I am afraid I don't know anything of a root method for it.

Hmmm... It has the same model number on the back and that's what the search results come up with. Must be with a different carrier or model, or it might be a Chinese knock off maybe?
