There's absolutely no need for a quad core 5250 in the next Note. I don't think you realize what the Exynos 5250 can do. Samsung has said that they only plan on using the quad core 5250 for tablets, I guess they think it's too powerful.

oh fair enough, i'm not that technical so i trust what you say then! i just assumed quad over dual core meant better!

Nonsense. Note should be considered as a tablet too.
 
I'm drooling over the 5250, I really hope it makes it into the next Note.

Just to recap, the Exynos 5250 is a 32nm dual-core Cortex-A15 SoC running at 2.0 Ghz. Memory bandwidth is a staggering 12.8 GB/s and allows it to drive up to WQXGA (2560x1600) resolution displays. As we reported back in November, compute performance should easily be twice that of the 1.5Ghz dual-core Cortex-A9-based Exynos 4210 and graphics performance is expected to be a four-fold improvement.

AnandTech - Samsung Exynos 5250 Begins Sampling

Since this article was written, it's been confirmed that the Exynos 5250 will be paired with the Mali-T604 GPU. *Drools*
 
Note 10.1 tab with 2560x1600 screen would be the killer
Note 5.3 tab with 1920x1080 screen would be DA BOMB!
