Plenty of cases to choose from for OTHER phones too. Sorry, I didn't know where else to post this!

Another choice I just had not thought of. I currently have the Galaxy S4 in a Tech 21 impact case. I have forgotten how good it fells in my hand. Not slippery at all and very thin. I just realized that they make the same case for the Note 3.
Has anyone here had any experience with this case for the Note 3? Compared to the Neo-Hybrid is it thinner than the Hybrid?
I wonder if it has the proper cutouts for the stylus and opening beside the stylus on the case? Kirk out!

I tried a Tech 21 for a couple of days before taking it back to the store (long story). I don't recall having any problem with the cutouts for the stylus. I've been using a Neo-Hybrid since returning the Tech 21 in April, and by comparison it's maybe slightly larger with the bumper than what I remember with the Tech 21, but not enough that it bothers me. I also have the UAG, and while I think this is the best case with great protection and styling for the money, given the already large size of the Note 3 it feels even larger in my hand vs the Neo-Hybrid and Tech 21. However, for a smaller phone like my prior S3, it's UAG all the way for me.

Up until today, the Neo-Hybrid had become my favorite case for the Note 3. However, this morning I found the bumper snapped right around the thinner cutout area surrounding the S-Pen. I don't drop my phones so I was surprised to find it had broken, seemingly on its own as I only used the phone briefly before walking out the door when I pulled the phone out of my pocket and found it in the broken state.

So now I'm shopping cases. It's either going to be the Spigen Slim Armor in Slate, or an Incipio Dual Pro Shine in silver. I like the styling better in the Spigen, but I really like the silver on the Incipio. I guess if I can find accurate dimensions I'll go with whichever is thinner.

Saw this case on Amazon, and definitely had me intrigued. Only reason it's not for me is due to it looking fairly thick, but I know many people don't mind bulky cases (for added protection). Coolest part is being able to hold 3 cards and cash, while also acting as a kickstand:

Amazon.com: Galaxy Note 3 Case, SKINU [Metal Slate] Galaxy Note 3 Credit Card Case [Shockproof] [Kickstand] [Mirror] Hybrid Protective Cover Case - Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, International, and Unlocked - Case for Galaxy Note 3 / Galaxy Note II

I'm in the process of adding a tempered glass front insert to my Bounce case. BTW I've been in the hospital for two months and my phone has taken a few bounces from my hospital bed and desk. Absolutely no damage to anything. The glass insert comes with a second case. I'm getting a gray case for variety (LOL)

Oh man I really like the credit card holder...that would potentially make it so I would only need to carry my phone around on bar nights...when taking my wallet out can be scary :o;)

reason I don't like them.

or someone can swipe mah expensive phone off me because crackhead - and hey bonus numbnuts now has all my cards and stuff.

so now I'm out my expensive phone that I partially rely on - thus most of my contacts I don't remember their numbers - and my ID (if bar hopping you need your DL) and my credit cards/debit card.

just don't think it's a wise move - course I also live in the most dangerous city in the US. so there is that

Yeah, I get you in that train of thought as well. That's another caveat that would prevent me from getting it also. I like the convenience of it, but I'd be freaked out if I got my phone and credit cards stolen, just because they were packaged into one.

granted you don't have to use it like that. I mean don't keep your cards in it.

but to me none of the wallet style cases looked like they protected well - other than maybe the zenus ones - they had a deeper edge than some others.

but opposite to that - I bought a Speigen slim armor view case which basically is a wallet with a hard shell and a urethane underlayer - with a view port cover.

I might not even use the view port - but I like the case idea

What about those gel type elastic type case that can stretch? It would be easy to take out and change battery?

I think the back cover of the N3 is fine by itself. Its the front part and the corners when the phone drop, it is not covered.

If I get a powerbank, might as well get a non removable battery phone.

You could get an extended battery?

The 6400mAh battery has some cases that work with it pretty well.

The Spigen neo hybrid case has been on and off my phone almost daily with little sign of stretching if any at all. Looks very good and gives enough grip and enough drop cushioning (although not tested) due to the good grip.

not really - with a powerpack to recharge from is that touch more convient - but remember that all LIPO (or LI-Ion) battery packs have a limited recharge cycle count.

so eventually you'll wear out your factory battery pack - and then since it's removeable you can easily get a new one.

with a phone with a non-removable battery pack it will wear out and then need constant charging.

but I have to ask - why do you change batteries so much?

The zerolemon case which comes with the zerolemon battery - thus obviating much need to change batteries.

if you need one - I do like this options.

I'm using the official S View Cover. I really like it... I usually buy cases and take them off after a couple weeks. I bought it 3 months ago and have never taken it off... I like it

Did you have to set up anything special in settings? I just put mine on and the s view worked only once. Now the mini screen doesn

For anyone interested I was able to modify the otterbox Defender case for the note 3 to be able to use an extended battery. . I am using the Anker 6400 mah extended battery, . I'm not talking about the humongous zerolemon battery

If anyone is curious I can go into detail and take some pics. But for those who have used the Hyperion or Anker extended batteries, you know there are hardly any cases out there and the ones available are the cheap, ugly TPU cases

Very happy with this modification and loving using the otterbox defender case with an extended battery. 😀
