Note 3 cases?

I just am always afraid the S-Pen is going to be impossible to get out with a case on it.

Yeah I have huge hands and have no problem getting it out with a Defender on the phone...

I have to work my hands into XXL gloves slowly to avoid getting pinched or ripping the glove sometimes. lol

edit to add a pic of the pen well on the Otterbox. excuse the crap pic I took it with my work phone, a Casio Gshock ravine. Yuk. lol

Another neo hybrd, metal slate. Really like the way it looks, no problems with S-pen and back is smooth so not as grippy.

Not liking the capacitive light bleed on the white.

Most proper cut out case won't have such issue. I can assure all following Genuine case no such issue on take out the S Pen:
  • Spigen (make sure it's genuine as a lot imitation one which not proper cut out and will have issue)
  • Otterbox
  • Rock
  • Body Glove
  • UAG (I not yet received but from image post pretty sure no issue)

If you can test out the navigation at some point, I'd really appreciate it. Really like the way that looks, but have held off simply due to my using Nav all the time and having concerns about any cases/back covers that affect the use of nav (like the simple chrome plated back cover did for me).
Currently I at home town and didn't bring back that case, only can test out next week. ;)

I am going to purchase Galaxay Note 3 in the next week and want to use the Seido Surface case and was wondering :

1. Do I really need a screen protector. ?

My previous phone I had the 2 piece case (Dilex) case with invisibleSHIELD

I just purchased the iloome ScreenMate Real Tempered Glass 9H and was super easy to install and no bubbles.

Worked great with the Spigen slim arm case.

Great buy.

Been using the otterbox defender for about a month. S pen comes out just fine for me. Not a fan of the screen protector, not bad, but makes the screen ugly.

I popped the screen protector out of my otterbox before I even put it on. The N3 has gorilla glass 3 in it. I didn't think I needed the built in protector.

I had the Nokia N8 before, which also had Gorilla Glass.
(Yes, i know the Note 3 has Gorilla Glass 3 vs the N8's Gorilla Glass 1)
I dont know how or when it happened, but the N8's screen has a 4cm long, deep scratch in the middle of the screen.
So, I will not be taking any chances with the Note 3.

Going to slap a Spigen GLAS.tR on it as soon as it arrives:D

FWIW, I don't use screen protectors on any of my phones. But it seems to be almost a religious issue, so I don't try to convince anybody about it.

I've never used screen protectors before.
But the Note 3 costs 700 euros, so I just dont want to take any chances.

Well, could always give me your phone and I'll slide it face down on a sidewalk to you and just before I'll ask whether or not you want me to put a screen protector on it and see what you choose.

Well that's kind of a weird thing to say but whatever floats your boat. With the otterbox defender on the phone you can slide it all day if you want and the screen will never touch the pavement. The only thing that will get to your phone are your fingers and anything in your pocket if you pocket carry (which I don't). I did use the screen protector in the otterbox on my last phone an htc 4g lte and it was ok but after a while it started to bug me. I've never scratched a screen on a phone so at least for me it isn't a big deal. I'm ok with the risk.

I also don't carry insurance on the phone either. Quite the rebel I am I guess.

I had my note 2 in a pouch that covered the entire phone, but after a year of use I did see two tiny scratches. Only visible at certain angles with the screen turned off.

This is my third note 3. First two phones were defective right from the box. So I am super paranoid now and want a case and screen protector

I've been around too much sand to risk it. Sand is a little harder than glass so it will scratch it, and if you have it on your fingers, just the dust will do so.

Sorry about all the issues you have had with your Note 3 already. At least you didn't give up on it and have a good device now.

Just pull of that lousy SP, that is the 1st thing I do when I received my defender case. ;)

Sometimes people need to have it on, like I work as a Project Manager on a construction site and I need something on it otherwise it's going to get screwed up :(.
