Help notification bar

My Desire's notification bar slides down randomly whenever i touched anywhere on my desire screen, the problem occurs randomly and is very annoying.
to overcome this i've to press the power button and switch the display OFF then ON.
Any help!!!

I have seen other threads where this is mentioned, so you are not the only one. I do not know if anyone managed to resolve it though.

I have started having the same problem - It only seemed to start last week and is really annoying. I have also started to have problems with the keyboard becoming unresponsive...

Faulty digitisers (the glass panel and membrane over the screen which turns touch input into OS interaction) does cause random or specific issues with interactions appearing to happen on their own.

You can either send it to HTC for repair like Lekky says, or if no warranty available, buy a desire digitiser and get a mobile phone repair specialist to fit it.

My Fiance had this on her Hero (although different symptoms) and it now works perfectly.
