I'm thinking that the amber or green led's would be easier to see, if the M8 was in black.

I just realized my LED notification light has not been working for a while now. Checked settings, rebooted. Still no go. Downloaded an LED notification tester called "LED Tester". Still no light when I put it to sleep on any of the different colors you can try. How do I tell if my LED is burned out?

My wife just called to say that my new M8 arrived in the mail, wish me luck on the light!

I ended up taking mine to an AT&T service center, where they determined that it was burned out.

LOL, I just set up a replacement M8, and, no notification lights!!! I give up, I don't need them!

It's got to be one of the apps that I carried over from my GS4, but then I should get a light when I restart it in safe mode, but no... Crazy! Maybe HTC will figure it out, I give up!! I still love the phone, and would take it without the light over any other phone. ;-)

Open the HTC Guide >support>phone health>diagnostics

You will see a lot off different tests you can perform on this phone without having to go into the diagnostics menu through the dial pad

Okay, the test shows that the lights are working! The question is still why don't they work as notification lights... Thanks for the tip on that app!

Wow! Cool app. My LED lights only flashed from red to green.. Is that it? Are there any other colors?

That's all that I saw, I hope that yours will actually work as notification lights, mine still won't.
