Help Notification ringtones/sound customizing

greggebhardt

Android Enthusiast
I have moved some .MP3 tones from my Blackberry to my SG2 and can use them for my phone ringtone and email notification and all works fine.

How do I do the same for calendar and SMS as I dislike the stock choices.:confused:

Connect your phone to your PC and browse the external SD card, create or navigate to
?:\media (where ? = drive letter) in the media folder create or navigate to Audio and then create or navigate to Notifications copy .mp3's here if you want them available as notification tones. you could also make the following folders;

?:\media\audio\alarms\*.mp3
?:\media\audio\notifications\*.mp3
?:\media\audio\ringtones\*.mp3

Or you could try copying mp3's to

?:\sounds\

if you have that on your external sd card.

As an alternative..

Download Zedge App (just like the website..) then just stick your mp3's in

Phone>Zedge>Ringtones

When you then go to settings, zedge will come up as an alternative containing all your MP3's. I know you might not want an extra app though it saves making folders and copying mp3's etc?

Anyway... Just a thought :)

Go into messaging and select notification sound from settings there, likewise in email/gmail go into settings and choose the notification sound there.
