Help Notification Settings W/ Launcher Pro

I have Launcher Pro with pop-ups turned on in the dock. That is, I can swipe up on my messaging/phone icon to see new messages and missed calls.

Problem is once I view them there, I still have to open the phone's notification system (I pull down the shade) and clear the notification so my LED light turns off.

Are there any solutions to this two step routine I have going on right now? I still want my LED notification light to go on when I get a text message, but I want it to turn off once I view the message in the Launcher Pro pop-up.

Any suggestions?

If I'm not mistaken, the notification should go away eventually, but is set up to not go away immediately because constantly polling would be a waste of system resources. I'll see if I can find more information later, but I think that's how it's set up.

sms and email notifications can be turned of in their menus. I have not found a way to turn off the missed call notification or voicemail notification
