Help Notification Shade lag?

Has anyone ever experienced lag while receiving a text message/GTalk message when they attempt to pull down the notification shade?

This started on Xmas day, seemingly out of the blue. I have about 55MB free on my phone (although I have had low space notifications when I get to 40MB, but have always cleared it out to over 50MB) and the lag only occurs sometimes.

It usually only happens right after an incoming GTalk or Text Message. If I flip on the phone and go to access the notification shade, it sometimes won't pull down. The weather animations still work without lag and I can access anything else on the phone without issue, its just the notification shade.

I would say it could be tied to the update, however, I've had the update for about a week prior and have had no issues. As I said, this just started on Xmas and is sporadic. If noticed a little lag on very seldom other occasions, but I chalk that up to freak occurences.

FWIW, I've already gone through the usual steps of deleting all texts, clearing caches, making sure there is plenty of space.

Any suggestions?

Edit: Actually, I just tried it without a text/Gtalk notification and it's lagging. This appears to only happen right as the phone wakes up. Any ideas why this could have all of a sudden just started to happen?

Bump?

Has anyone experienced this? It seems to happen pretty sporadically. It was fine for a good 3 or 4 days, but today it was absolutely horrid. I also noticed quite a bit more battery drain, however, I suspect that to be directly tied to a video chat program I wanted to try and just deleted. I expect battery to be better tomorrow.

I'm going to do some housecleaning and get rid of programs/games I don't use, but if anyone has any info, I'd be appreciative.

I've actually ready that it may have something to do with the SD Card. I'm going to do some housecleaning today and move some stuff off of the SD Card (possibly reformatting as well) to see if it helps.

This is something that has happened out of the blue and all of a sudden. I'm not running anything that should be taxing the processor that much.
