Root odd play store

im back on cm7tgr for now, but anyway... my play store is working fine, except that its only displaying anywhere from 15-20 apps per category. Has anyone else delt with this?

....also noticed that apps that don't show seem to have an effect on ones (the "not showing" apps) that were installed before the issue started occurring.

*this stuff was happening before I switched back and forth roms.

as of now I am back on cm7.2g60 10/15 build and everything was doing good til today. The same issue is magicly occurring again. Even tried a new account. Its just odd how this keeps happening. Even after full wipe of caches and data, and always a few days later after fresh installs.

just wanted to update and say also that when i view my installed apps in the playstore...when i click on one to view...most of them state at the top in a black box "this version is not supported on your device". wtf...had no problem before and why?...this is really irritating me.

Sorry, missed your posts. In the future, could you post in the ROM thread for the issue? And do you think you could include a screenshot? When I open up the play store I get different formats for different areas. I wonder if what you are seeing is normal. As far as the "this version is not supported on your device" part, have you modified your build.prop? Maybe with a thunderprop?

If it's one I made up, then I would really like to resove it. I asked for help on that as I don't use it, but no one responded.

I had that thought too dsmryder that it could be a regional thing due to the location of the phone, but as long as the OP is in the US, don't think this should be happening...
 
Yeah sorry about that, but same issue was happening on cm7tgr as I am now currently on cm7.2g60. As for change/modding the build prop or thunder prop, no I have not as I have no clue for it. But here are some screenshots....

I remember something like this happening on my Nook Color with some version of CM7 a while back, but can't remember the details- I'll see if I can find a link & it might provide some ideas...
 
Okay, so the issue with the Nook was on Froyo & I think had something to do with the build.prop, which shouldn't be your issue (although could be if you modded it or if you are using a ROM that has a modified version). Another thing that can apparently cause this issue is LCD screen density- some apps refuse to run at odd densities.

I can't remember how to check/change this on the MT since I don't have one now & it's been a while since I looked at it, but maybe someone else can tell you how.

Kinda grasping at straws at this point...
 
For what it is worth, the screen density in the images above is different than what i have on my phone. There are several apps that allow you to change the screen density. Is it possible that you ran one of the apps and now your screen density has changed.

One of the side effects of changing the screen density is the symptom that you are having.

those shots are that way because the ones i took before would not attach to post...said I needed to adjust framesize to 750x750..however My screen density is set to 200 through motomizer. Would that really affect it?

***I checked if that was the case and it still did the same thing.
