Root [Odin] Clockworkmod Recovery - Not compatible with Rom Manager yet

I think you're a complete moron. I spent hours trying to find the 3 files: admire-cwm.tar, oden multi_downloaderv4.42 and schr720.ops to do this clockworkmod, not knowing that I had to become a member to get these files. So finally I become a member and I already had the indulge driver. So I click on the odin file to get those 3 files and I get an error message!!! Are you aware of this? If you're not you should be and if you are you should take the time to update this problem but I don't think you can or give a damn in the first place. You and few other of these "computer genuises/Whizzes" piss me off and frustrate the shit out of me. You don't know what the hell your doing and your very unprofessional. You have wasted allot of my time, jerk off!

1. That's disrespectful...
2. These devs have busted there butts to obtain root on this device, I doubt that the have time to solve all your problems especially since most of them work on several devices and have real jobs.
3. You had to sign up on 4shared because all the other file hosting sites cap the upload size too low for the files.
4. If you get an error, read over the instructions again just to make sure you didn't miss anything. When you are totally sure it wasn't you, than ask nicely and wait for a response.
5. If developers "Piss you off" you may need to get your self checked out.

P.S welcome to the forums! ;)

Did you ever end up getting this sorted?

If not I have a couple of questions for you:
(I'm going to preface this by saying I don't own the admire... But I owned the prevail and my understanding is they are very similar)

1) Is this the file you are installing with Odin?

unleashedprepaids.com/media/phones/Admire/admire-cwm.tar

2) Are you running Odin as administrator?

3) Is this the version of Odin you are using?

unleashedprepaids.com/media/phones/Admire/Odin+OPS.zip

4) Which drivers did you install? (Link?)

5) Is your phone showing up in Odin (com:xx)

6) once you have flashed the recovery with Odin, are you allowing the phone to boot fully? I know with the prevail if you let the phone boot fully after using Odin to flash recovery, it would overwrite cwm with the stock recovery... (But I see no mention of that in this thread)
_______________

If the answers to all of the yes/no questions are yes (with the obvious exception to the question about having this sorted ;):D ), then please post step-by-step what your doing to try and install cwm.

_______________

Another thing to try would uninstalling any other Samsung drivers you have installed and installing only the ones in the op.

no i have not figured it out yet.
1. yes that is the file
2.yes odin as administrator
3.yes that is the version
4. http://k0nane.info/rom/indulge-drivers.exe (link to drivers)
5.yes phone shows up in Odin
6. see that's the thing the phone never goes to reboot...i have had Odin run through and say "PASS" waiting for reboot but it just never reboot it stays in download mode . I flashed a different admire doing the same steps as with this one it was GINGERBREAD...it was different version..FI25...this one is EH02.
The other admire first time took cwm and since I have tried different ROM's no problem.
I have done every single variation of flashing with Odin that can be done ,I Have't been able to get this particular phone to do it. I am beginning to think that maybe Odin himself doesn't want this one done, lol

Have you considered trying to revert back up an older build using the back-to-stock thread and then flashing cwm with Odin?

The last time you were successful in flashing recovery, was it on the same computer?

Did you try installing/reinstalling the drivers?
A different usb port?
A different usb cable?

yes i have tried using different cable , usb port and different computer. The last time I was successful was with different admire. which is currently in a half bricked state..lol...work in progress..this patricular admire has never been successful all the way. It has said pass but never reboot.. have tried: [STOCK] [CWM-BACKUP] Samsung Admire 2.3.4 Stock (EH02)
and [STOCK CWM-BACKUP/ODIN] Returning to Stock 2.3.4 and for the hell of it I have tried both phones on three computers this am the first admire(EH02) still wont take anything.. the other (FI25) took everytime..its currently half bricked cause my wife thinks I am a nerd and i wanted to show her how fun this is by letting her start some of her own stuff, well she ddint start that great. Is there a way yet to Install Recovery through the ADB. I have just ten min ago been brought a test phone that is admire(fI25) so any idea or suggestion I can try on it

Alright I'm an idiot but I'm getting this:

usb_read() transaction failed.

I know I'm doing something simple wrong I just have no idea what. Could someone help?

what is it you trying to do? what gives you this error? odin? root? did u install the correct drivers?

try this. Power Off your phone and try to put it in Download Mode by pressing POWER + HOME BUTTON + VOLUME DOWN BUTTON!
If your phone goes into download mode, then your phone is soft brick and can be restored by flashing a stock ROM again !
If your phone doesn't go into download mode, then your phone is Hard Bricked and can only be repaired be Samsung Service Center !

Yep. I get the download screen.

I think its the drivers though. I'm going to try reinstalling them again.

EDIT: Okay so now, drivers are installed, computer is confirming that it detects my phone but Odin doesn't.

****UPDATE****
I got Both admires to flash thru Odin...I have flashed d every cwm and a bunch of different ROM's. Big thanks to Lordvincent90 for taking the time ...to put up with my lack of .....brains..lol...these old phones have made to phone less kids of mine very happy..http://androidforums.com/admire-all-things-root/673127-rom-killahbeanbuildrc4-ext-4-a.html

When you open your device manager on the computer, are there any unknown devices?

Trial and error..Me and wifey just tried everything possible thing again...Straight from the Start.. flashed cwm.. went back to stock..well tried ...lol..I finally was able to make clockworkmod /backup..took a back up file and put in that folder , tried to restore....of course the md5 didn't match... d went to the nandroid.md5 file opened it with text editor and deleted everything but boot.img line and recovery.img.. did back-up and it worked. I found this in a xda thread about matching md5. So all the credit goes to them..
