Root Odin flashing(Return to stock) for the Samsung Transform Ultra

hi guys,
i have a samsung galaxy s with 2.3.6

i used this guide... Root Samsung Galaxy S I9000 Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread XXJVU Firmware With CF-ROOT to root my phone....it didnt work...phone keeps rebooting...help please!

Our odin is quite different from you mainstrean phone. It wont work for flashing Touchwiz devices. TW devices require a different partition map all together.
the mapping file for our devices is the .ops file(non-touchwiz) and the GS requires a .pit(touchwiz) for mapping. search XDA for your device. you will find everything you need for your device there as NGD1 suggest above

Also for instructions on how to flash odin for your device, you might check youtube.

So I'm having trouble doing this. Some of the files are down but I've managed to get everything from various places. I have a Boost Transform Ultra and when I run odin and do the onepackage and select the stock ROM, odin goes through its steps and reboots, but I'm still on megatron. What am I doing wrong?

Did you make sure you're phone has usb debugging on, and sometimes people forget but are you putting the phone into download mode before using ODIN?? Also do you have the latest Samsung USB Drivers for Mobile Phones installed on your computer before attempting any of this?? All of these steps must be done before ODIN can properly flash the stock rom back onto your Transform Ultra...

Hope this helps, hit thanks if I did help you in some way... :D

USB Debugging is on, and I'm definitely in download mode and also have the latest drivers.

I extract the tu_system_bads3ctor.tar, and I am running the Odin Multidownloader as administrator.

I select the ops file as directed, and everything is checked except reset time and debug only.

I select my one-package, being the tu_system_bads3ctor.tar

odin goes through

This, and simply reboots the phone. No stock ROM is installed. I'm still on Megatron. Why is it doing this?

It could be that the files are bad, or missing a critical piece of information to make the change properly, but I can't say for sure as I don't own a boost TU. When I've tried this method for my sprint TU, either Odin would crash, or everything would freeze at the point where the files were supposed to be getting pushed to the phone.

If you absolutely need to return to stock, Loota has a CWM backup somewhere aroud here, or chevanlol360 has a flashable zip, I believe. Best of luck. :)

I currently DO have a stock zip, but I don't recall where the heck I got it from, and on top of that I don't know whether it is Boost or Sprint. I'll have to find a definitely stock Boost zip, then I can restore it, remove root if I need to and then flash stock kernel and recovery.

Still not sure why Odin is being weird. My MD5 is matching up.

Would anyone have that zip file by chance? I'll of course be looking for it myself as well.

I would like to post a final resolution to this problem above. Download mode works, but bootloop when using recovery or regular boot.

The following symptoms must ALL apply:
Phone must be able to boot into download mode (volume down + camera + power)
Phone must NOT be able to boot into recovery (volume down + power)
Phone must flash valid files in download mode without error (no error, but phone still boot loops)
If out of anger and frustration, you press the power button and squeeze the life out of the phone. IT WILL BOOT EVERY TIME AND NOT FREEZE PROVIDED YOU DON'T LET GO.

The following symptoms will happen randomly:
Phone actually boots once in a blue moon, but eventually freezes

If the above applies, like the original post, then this is the fix for you

If you take the 5 silver screws and the two black screws off, open the back case.
Take the silver radio interference shield off. On the bottom left you will see a black ribbon cable. if you look at the plastic cover you just took off, you will see a rectangle piece of metal shielding. You want to fold up a strip of paper into the same shape as that metal shielding. This puts pressure on the faulty ribbon cable. Put every thing back together. make sure the paper between the metal shield and the ribbon cable is thick enough that once everything is screwed in, it still works. WILL NOT WORK UNTIL ALL THE SCREWS ARE BACK IN. (Cheap test, put everything on, but leave the screws out, press on the case and see if the phone turns on, if so, try the screws, if it doesn't work then, add more paper)

Can't seem to get any of the download links to work. Everytime I try...it takes me to some wallpaper download page. I must be doing something wrong, but I don't know what. Thanx in advance for any help.

The OP of this thread may not have the files anymore, thus the broken links. What are you looking for specifically? I'm sure everyone here will be able to provide you the files you need, or at least will point you in the right direction. :)

Just to get you started, you can find odin at this thread if you don't have it already.
