Root Odin for Transform Ultra

Currently, I can save a phone if the user has CWM. I'm in linux now and Odin is windows only, so it's kind of on the backburner, but I can save phones. :D

hay interdpth i may pick another one of these phones up today and root it so i might be able to test out what you got.

seeing as there all over ebay now and i get a discount on them at my work i might make money on it selling it on ebay:D
 
Alright, I'd love to get stock files off a brand new one for restoring stuff. Then we get shit flashing and get cwm on here!

can anyone instruct me on how to get those files off the phone?

Im a Prevail user but my buddy is coming over to root his brand new transform ultra tonight. I could extract those files from his phone if I knew how...or what you needed.

I have SDK and tools with some knowledge of ADB.

or would just a backup from recovery work?

???

Really would like to help you guys get Odin, ROMS, Themes, and such
 
Idk my self, but to point you in the right direction... ask horak, he got odin and cwm working for privail, intrepth was working on odin for the ultra but I don't think he is makeing much progession, or try getting some info from shabbypanguin. If you have some good knowlege they can probably point you in the right direction.

I've been waiting for odin since this phone came out, I'm scared to delete the crapware, don't want to mess up the phone until odin is here... root kinda sucks without backup to go with it, but root is better than nothing

yeah I don't wanna bother hroark right now. He's been busy over in our section working on our cyanogenmod and gingerbread. I interdpth is your best shot at odin soon. I think he is helping hroark with his project as well.
I'm sure he's a busy man as well. Im not a transform owner but I will help you guys however I can.
 
Open Garden Wifi tether works!!!!!!! shows error but works without changing settings. Again this WILL show errors but it works anyways!!!! :D
 
Woooo Hooooo that's spectacular news!!! Now we can back up and restore our phones... still need odin for a fresh out of the box phone, but this is great news... thanks Interdpth.... where's the info for download?
 
I asked over at xda and they were willing to help out to get a cw recovery going
its not flashable only loadable via adbshell but its a start

still not 100% it needs to be maped out for the keys and the framebuffer is off so it looks all funky on the screen

and you'll need to ask for the link in there cause its not 100% yet im not gonna pass around the file till its good to go.

besides its adb to get it on there and there's no odin so if you pres the wrong button its poof transform till odin wants to work for us!

I already post d this on another thread, but is there anyone who can post a stock or custom rom that can be flashed with Odin? Although my Ultra is soft-bricked, it can still go into download mode. Please help me!!! I will help with donations if my problem gets solved. Thank You!
 
I gather from IRC the progress on this is stalled because interdpth doesn't have a transform ultra for the task. He accepts donations and using the cyber30 promo code on Boost's site the ultra is selling for $160.99 ($229.99) till next week.

If you are waiting on the ROM and have access to an ultra or want to donate now is the time :cool:
