Why is it that every time i use Odin i either get Google Auth error or Connection issues, I'm just trying to Odin the Stock ROM's so my trick doesn't work can anyone please help me? Thanks.

if you are coming from an ext4 based ROM like CTMod or CyanogenMOD

make sure you convert your cache partition back to RFS

you have to flash this file in CWM

Hmmm.... I just went to CTMod... might need to use Odin at some point... How do you convert cache back to RFS? Is that some option available in CWM?

MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

Also, if you've gone back to stock, the stock recovery will format the cache partition to rfs if you do a factory reset

also, after booting up for the first time after installing an Odin image, log into google through the add accounts interface in the contacts list. That has always avoided the Google Authentication issue for me

I have done this, idk why it does this?

do you have talk.apk? Did u try disabling the talk auto sign in after the first sync? Worked for me with froyo. (never has this issue on gb)

After booting up for the first time use talk sign into your google account it will sign in and sync and then go into the settings and uncheck automatic sign in.

Hey Guys,

New to rooting this phone. I recently uninstalled the phone.apk in error, now my phone has no service and several apps crash. I'm trying to use ODIN to reflash to stock, I've installed the USB drivers but I am getting connection errors.

When i plus my phone is on download mode, it says error installing usb drivers.

ANy ideas how I can fix this, or reflash back to stock to recover the missing app?

Thanks in advance guys.

I didn't have to install my drivers

Ive tried 2 different computers, cables and with and without drivers. Any ideas how I can just install the phone APK once again? Is it as simple as dragging the missing file onto the SD or phone memory?

If your rooted you should be able to just drag to SD then move it, using root explorer or the ES file thing, to /system/app

Alright guys, I tried a THIRD computer and ODIN worked perfectly. I guess third time is the charm. Thanks everyone for your help!!
