I am pretty sure, nothing was pushed back, motorola said late summer, september is late summer! sheesh
By the calendar, but not in most peoples mind.Everything pretty much wraps up by the first week of September unless you are in a deep south state.

i'm really bummed out on waiting a whole month for froyo to come out on the x. i remember the pre release of all the people talking about having froyo and flash on the x and this was late june early july. i was okay with waiting until august but this news of september kind of pissed me off, just because all the other phones are getting it and we'll be one of the last. i wonder why they didn't work on developing froyo for the x while the phone was being developed and tested and stuff? hopefully when we get froyo there'll be no bugs what so ever and all the bugs we have no will be worked out cuz they have plenty of time to work perfection on an already perfect phone. this post is helping me vent some. i was really looking toward to watching videos on transworld motocross. oh well i love my droid x and it will be amazing with froyoif anyone else wants to vent a lil or express any feelings on froyo for the x feel free please. have a nice day.

one of the last? So far it seems like the EVO, Nexus one, and The Droid are gonna be the only US devices getting Froyo before the X. Seems as though the froyo update will coincide with the D2 launch. I'm not sure what the disappointment is?
Way to cover your statement with "technicalities"
As other have suggested, there's obviously a reason behind Motorola's decision to pull-back on releasing Froyo to the X....just give it some time people.

Who said they pulled back?
Not dead last but one of the last. The only other phones that are relative is the Droid Inc and the Galaxy S line.
You can't always be the first guys. My point wasn't that we are getting it before anyone else, but its certainly not so long a wait that I would start a thread about being bummed out about it, or make me regret purchasing the phone that I did.
