Help [OFFICIAL] 2.2 ota is live for evo

Anyone seeing their downloads in the Market? I'm only showing 4 of my 40 or so apps (but the apps are still on the phone and functional).

Want to move apps to SD card (this was my most anticipated upgrade other than speed)

Yeah, common problem. You can 1) Wait for several hours...some folks said it finally automatically synced up or 2) Go to Settings->Application->Manage applications. Select the 'All' tab at the top. Find the Market application in the list then push 'Clear Cache' and 'Clear Data'. Start the market, accept the license. It will force the market app to rsync and you are good to go.

You do this in Settings > Applications > Manage Applications. Click on the app you want to move.

Note, not many apps have this feature enabled. The app developers have to update their apps to make it work.

So, I know that if you update, you'll lose root. I haven't rooted my phone yet, but I was planning to. The question is, is there an advantage to waiting for the Froyo update to get rooted prior to upgrading? The way I see it, whether I update to Froyo now or not, I still need to wait for the devs to root the latest Froyo build, right? Meaning that, say for example, a week from now they release a rooted Froyo build, then I'd have to root my 2.1 Evo then upgrade to the newly rooted 2.2, right?

Well, when they do root 2.2, won't I likely be able to root an Evo with the standard HTC/Sprint 2.2 rom?

Thanks in advance!

Started at 10:33 done at 10:58 for a total of 15 minutes for the whole process!!!! Sorry for those having problems!

Almost 1 hour now and still at the triangle + !. Any last words before I pop the battery?

Some people reported bricking their phones when they interrupted the last major updated. Hang tight. Everyone's wifi/3g is different. In my experience with the last major update it stayed stuck on the 4G animation screen for over 45 minutes. It eventualy came on.

When I go to check for updates it just keeps on checking, never goes anywhere. Left it like that for maybe 40 minutes and it never found anything. Had to back out of it to stop.

I am rooted, but did not download the leaked update the other day. Strange.

My apps weren't showing up until I did a soft reboot

Okay after playing with it for a little while I am noticing faster loading, slightly better WiFis, some very nice new apps and widgets, and I'm hoping to see better battery life.

EDIT: it took me about 20 minets to DL and install, I used WiFis since I don't live in a 4G area

Update took about 10 minutes after download, everything seems to be working fine.

One quirk I would like people to try. Go to menu-settings-call and click on Phone Settings. Now rotate your phone landscape. Did the menu rotate too? I dont know why, but for some reason the Phone settings menu rotates on my phone, while no other menu will. Wierd.

Also, does anyone else still have the 6-bar signal indicator? When the phone first rebooted, I had the 4-bar indicator like most of the pictures I have seen of Froyo phones. After a few minutes, it was back to the Evo 6-bar. Not anything to complain about, just another weird thing.

I'm curious to know if anyone with the leaked version is getting this update, and if they are, if there's any problems with installing it. I'm going to wait until I see some people say they've had success updating from the leaked version.

By the way, I have the leaked version and no software update is showing up for me yet.

+1 I'm anxious to find out too...

Ok... Is there a way to roll back to 2.1 from the leaked 2.2? I tried downloading the 2.1 RUU and nothing.....
