He doesn't list one for the Rezound. It is a one size fits all or is there a specific model to order?

this is him: Android Forums - View Profile: CM67
I have a proto-type and when charging port is lined up phone is a little off-center. Waiting on word now, other than that the same one for the sensation fits *almost* perfectly.

Feel free to contact him or ask on his site:)

The dock is REALLY nice though:)

Car Dock??? How do I get to the Rezound Home Screen.

I just picked up the HTC desk mount at the Verizon store. When I place the Rezound in the dock it goes into Desk Mode. On the display I have a clock widget, the Music widget, a Photo frame icon, a Connected Media icon, a Calendar icon, and a screen turnoff icon. BUT, no Home icon to take me to the Rezound's Home screen...I had this feature on my Original Droid. I tried the Home button on the phone and I tried the Menu button to see if that gave an option to get to the Rezound Home, neither of those attempts worked.

So, how do I get to the Rezound Home screen with the phone still in the dock?

Picked up the Otterbox Commuter case yesterday, and love it. Just wish there was a belt clip to use with it. However, the Commuter does not add much bulk at all, so it is not painful to keep it in my pocket.

Is there a clip out there that works with the Commuter?

Actually, my old Sedio clip for my Droid X fits it perfectly! Cha Ching!

Would it be possible for you to post a picture of this setup? Right now I am using the Defender case from Otterbox and it makes my phone kinda big while in the belt clip and the built in screen protector is driving me nuts. Has anybody tried to remove the built in screen protector on the Defender case? I cant wait for Seidio to come out with Rezound cases with belt clips. Did you mean Seidio clip for your Droid X?

I'm using the Commuter, not the Defender. The defender is way too bulky for my taste.
Edited my post above to say my old "Seidio" clip, instead of my "senior" case. Not sure where that came from. SwiftKey, I guess. :-)

DO NOT BUY THE CAR DOCK. Unless you dont care if your phone will charge or not. The dock sucks power from your charger.

I can confirm. The car dock will not charge your phone atleast not with the screen on and nothing else running but battery monitor widget.

I bought one and tested it extensively yesterday. I used a Verizon 1a charger and a generic 1a charger. With the dock and both chargerz the phone DIScharged(as in LOST battery power) at between 100ma and 200ma. Without the dock using the same chargers and changing nothing on the phone the phone charged at between 50a and 200ma.

I did the test several times to eliminate any random things the phone may have been doing in the background.

After doing that controlled test I played with it some more and no matter what I did I could not get a positive charge with the dock attached even in airplane mode with the screen backlight at minimum. Without the dock using the same chargers i ran Pandora and a police scanner both outputting through the phone speaker, gps, wifi, mobile all on, and screen on auto and still had a very small positive charge.

Moral of the story DO NOT BUY THIS DOCK unless you dont mind it just bring a piece of plastic that holds your phone in place.

Meant the Desk Dock in post title.

Any idea how to get to the Rezound Home Page??

On the car mount, I press the menu button (left of home button) and it gives me an option to exit.

Have you tested the charging performance with the mount vs with just the car charger? I just returned my mount because it was reducing the charge from my charger.

I just did a quick test this evening with the car dock, a Verizon usb car charger, extended battery, navigation and 4G enabled, screen at automatic, and it did not increase the battery level while charging. It simply held its own at whatever level it began. I'm pretty disappointed by that, but I will test it a little more and see if that is simply the way it is going to be. I don't expect it to charge it quickly with those features enabled, but it should at least charge it somewhat.

While in the desk mount I press the menu button (right of the home button) and I get 3 choices ..(1) Wallpaper icon, (2) Shortcuts icon, and (3) Settings icon. I tried the settings choice and I see nothing that takes me to the Rezound Home page. There is no exit option.

I bought a car dock last week and have only used it to play with navigation without cable until I read the lastest posts here. I have Battery Monitor installed (highly recommended BTW) and this is what I found tonight:

  • When running automatic screen brightness at night without charge cable connected, the Rezound was burning a whopping 750mA/H with GPS, BT and 3G turned on and in navigation mode. At that rate, the 1620mA battery would be dead is two hours.
  • When charging via USB cable to my in-dash radio, I was loosing about 400mA/H which means the battery would last ~4 hours.
  • When charging from a belkin USB/Lighter 1A adapter. it would loose about 200mA/H which means the battery would last ~8 hours.
  • When using 110V/USB 1A adapter that came with the rezound it would loose about 150mA/H (I've got a 110v inverter in my console) so the battery would last about ~10 hours.
  • When using my Vizio tablet 110V/USB 2A adapter, the phone charged at about 200mA/H! Success!

It appears that the dock limits the current going to the Rezound and you need a Tablet USB car charger that can deliver up to 2A.

Does an iPad come with a 110V/USB adapter and does anyone have one that can tell us what is it rated?

It will say something like Output: 5V @ 2A (this is the Visio charger rating)

If someone can check, maybe that is the answer for folks that have a tablet charger already.

Anyone looking for a LEGAL copy of Lord of the Rings for the Rezound, Amazon has the bluray extended version on sale for $50. It comes with a digital copy that I can't wait to throw onto the Rezound. God Frodo and his halfling buddies are going to look tiny on the phone... Amazon.com: The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy (The Fellowship of the Ring / The Two Towers / The Return of the King Extended Editions + Digital Copy) [Blu-ray]: Elijah Wood, Viggo Mortensen, Ian McKellen, Peter Jackson: Movies & TV

Can't you just get the DVD and upload it to your computer?

I returned the Verizon micro usb car charger today. The manager said that the charger only delivers a trickle charge and is designed just to keep the battery where it is. I told her that is not sufficient. So my next try will be an HTC branded car charger that supposedly is a 2 amp one and that it it is a fast charger. We shall see.

There are ways to rip the DVD and not all of them are legal, but this is the legal alternative, although reading the reviews it says that the digital copy isn't that great. I have a 720p movie already installed on the Rezound and I'm looking for more 720p content. Sadly, there isn't much 720p content on the video apps since not many devices do 720p. Thus I'm looking out for any possible 720p content. You can always rip the bluray content if you'd like but you'd have to have all the software and hardware to do it.

This is great info- Which "battery monitor" is that you're using? I see several in the market...

I got the case and holster in the Power and Protection pack. I have the extended battery. If you take all of the inserts out of the car cradle, the phone fits and charges. I will need to use some epoxy to make it a little more form fitting.
I am also trying to make sense out of the whole low amps and slow charging problems noted by others. I want to find out if it is the cord or the actual cradle.
