.:Official Accessories Thread:.

I got the case and holster in the Power and Protection pack. I have the extended battery. If you take all of the inserts out of the car cradle, the phone fits and charges. I will need to use some epoxy to make it a little more form fitting.
I am also trying to make sense out of the whole low amps and slow charging problems noted by others. I want to find out if it is the cord or the actual cradle.

Its the cradle no doubt about it.

Little bit of trivia on battery use: Watched an hour and a half of band of brothers while I was working out today- .avi on moboplayer, "normal" performance setting, in a wifi zone: Using the extended battery, the charge went down 7%.

Now, that's just one observation at one operating condition, but if that trend is typical, it suggests you could sit there and watch 15 hours of video, if you're traveling, say, and still have 30% juice left to check your mail, etc.

Not too shabby.

Today is day one with extended, so far I'm really loving it

Ok, nothing major but I still wanted to say I received some ReZound accessories today and it was almost like a mini early x-mas gift for myself..lol. Felt good.

Here's the 32 gig card I ordered off Amazon
IMAG0257.jpg

and here is the Motorola speed charger from there as well. It was a pretty good deal for all of it.

The funny thing is this is probably more than I will actually get on x-mas...sigh.

If the SD card isn't class 10...TAKE IT BACK NOW MAN!!!! I got my 32 GB class 10 and it makes the class 4 I pulled from my Thunderbolt feel like I went from DSL to Fios.

LOL! Ok but how much did you pay for it? I only paid $31.98 for mine. I looked at the class 10's but they were much more expensive.

The class 10 I posted about a week ago was $39.99 shipped. Since you said you view 720p content, I would say you'd be much better served by the class 10. I posted in your 1080p thread too since this card specifically said that it's better suited for 1080p recording devices.

From their website.

Here's one for $37.99, but it's Fry's so there's going to be Tax and shipping, and it's AFTER rebate....

Hmmm, I will go check that thread then. Not sure how returns work on Amazon though, especially since they shipped it free.

EDIT:

I just checked the link you listed in the thread for the Wintec. It's at $45 now.

Yeah, I'm glad I picked it up at $39.99. At first I didn't think it was going to be that great a deal, but the first thing I noticed while playing some 720p video is that moving from one scene to another, the video is pretty instantaneous in taking me to the part in the movie that I want to fast forward to. I'll shoot some video when I have better light in 1080p to see if it takes better video with the class 10.

What class is the OEM SD card? I never gave it a look and now I'm curious.

I'm thinking it's class 4. I don't have the original else I'd check. I took my old Thunderbolt 32 GB, and that one is a class 4. If you're going to do some 720p video playback, I highly recommend it.

"Call" is 4th down on mine. I am not sure, but I did plug in the Charm into this phone once to test it, so maybe it is there because I already used a charm. Well if it is there then it is also there on your phone (hidden). You can probably use "Circle Launcher" app from the market in order to be able to find/open any hidden apps on the phone.

Can confirm that once charm is plugged in it shows up in app drawer... just saying :)

Found a TPU case for the Rezound with the extended battery here.

If the pic they are using is what it actually looks like and not just using the one for a standard battery as a placeholder, then I don't know how that would work. On the Ext. battery door there is a hump all around the battery. On the picture shown in your link, there appears to be only a hump at the top, like the standard door has.

I'm a little leary buying from them, since they have no 5 star reviews, and each other level (1, 2, 3, & 4 star) each have about 100 reviews. So you got about a 1 in 4 shot of a good experience.

Edit: Just went to their site (tpu-cases.com) and the pics of the Rezound extended tpu case are the same as the ones for the standard battery. If you enlarge the pics you can see the Beats logo underneath (on the smoke case), and the extended battery door doesn't have the Beats or 4G LTE logos on it. The ext cases are $3 more, but without pics of what they actually look like, they could be the same as the ones from Mobi with the battery section cut out. I just sent them an email requesting info or pics for it so hopefully I'll hear back soon.

Update to the edit: In the description it says that the pics are for the standard battery case, and that they will post the extended battery pics on the evening of 12/13. SO they're apparently a little late.

BTW, this is the same company that made the tpu case I have for my Incredible2 (got off of ebay). The case is just as good as the ones Verizon sells, but the power button is harder to push. The reason for that is the Verizon tpu case (they call it high gloss silicon) leaves the back side of the power button exposed, so it's easier to hit from the back. The one for my Inc2 surrounds the power button on all sides, so along with the button being flush, it's also recessed about 1/16" below the surface of the case. You really gotta dig your finger in there to hit the button. Just saying.

they now have a picture of the extended case on their website as well Amazon. Looks good mine has ready shipped.

That pull out kickstand is a PITA to open up. I checked the case out at a Verizon store and I could see portions of the plastic that would be the first to fail.

This extended case is a TPU (High Gloss Silicon on Verizon). This is the first one to offer a TPU case for the extended battery without the battery hump being exposed. The one from HTCPedia has the hump exposed and is around $25. This case covers the same as the standard TPU cases, and costs $13. No brainer for me, but will probably wait until after New Years to order, too much money going out the door right now.:(

Don't be such a stick in the mud, go ahead and expose that battery hump! :p
