I think you will. I have been ignoring an upgrade to 1.21 for just over a month and updates today didn't show 2.2 I've just done the upgrade to 1.21, checked again and now the 2.2 upgrade has been offered.

same here, called them twice and kept saying something about htc hero update...
its in your internet settings. Open the browser , press Menu > More > settings > untick mobile view
I have a Virgin mobile uk handset, have rooted (just to see if i could) but done nothing else and hence still on 1.15 version - does anyone else on Virgin know when the update might be out or would i be best just installing another rom?

It seems the developers are yet to get on board with this - hardly any can be moved across.
have mailed the developers though as they are ones i use for my work (photo studio buddy and easy release) hoping they get fixed soon.Give it alittle time, before we got 2.2 this afternoon only around 5% of android users (N1) had the ability to apps to sd, the more of us now with 2.2 the more devs will add a2sd to their apps (i hope)
good point. would have thought the google apps were sorted now though - google earth hogging 22mb or so - will be interesting to see how quickly things change

After installing the update the calendar also show's the facebook calendar. Just go to the settings of the calendar and uncheck facebook. Problem solved.

I've downloaded the update 3 times and every time I press OK to install, the phone switches itself off. Can anyone offer a solution to this?
It did exactly the same with the software update previously and eventually, after I'd been pressing the on/off button, it seemed to work after the 4th or 5th download.
Certainly not smooth or seamless. I've not got a task-killer or anything running in the background. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Cheers.
Edit: Ok I've cracked it now. It seems that my phone is unable to re-boot, instead it just switches off. I found that by hitting the on button immediately after the screen went blank, that seemed to boot it back to life. Also following barq's information on the install process in post 1193 really helped. Thanks barq, your info was invaluable.

Thanks billy. I can find all that and my details match those of brykins. Will that change when I can update or how will I know? Also as my phone appears to be unbranded should I be able to do it now. I confess to having got a little confused with un/branded; un/locked; un/rooted; gold cards etc. The age factor I'm afraid!
