Guys, I have a problem, when I go to Market -> Downloads, It says I don't any app, but when I go to All apps, I have all of them. And I can't update them....
How I can solve this ?

Just installed this evening. Couple of probs I had...

Camera / Camcorder would not load - uninstalled (Google) Voice Search
Swype did not work - uninstalled and re-installed via the Swype installed
APNs have dissapeared - will have to re-add them :-(

Otherwise so far so good!

Uh oh. I've messed this up. Help!

I've tried both the official download and the unofficial one based on it, copying them on to my SD card and booting into recovery mode. My phone fails both on signature checks when in recover mode. I have re-downloaded and tried multiple times. I did the data wipe just in case that would help.

Now it won't boot. It goes through the first loading screen until as usual it blanks out, then the HTC sign reappears and the logo is drawn with that sound. After this loading screen, it goes blank and the HTC sign reappears and the logo is drawn with that sound. And so on, endlessly it seems, doing that part of the load. Perhaps the wipe means it can't find the apps on the SD card and that's why it fails boot up at the last moment?

How can I recover? Ideally, I would like a fresh official HTC Android 2.2 installation. I don't care about the data or the apps, I just want to be able to boot Froyo. Or even

my desire bought from the UK and am now in India. got a notification abt a 90mb update for download today. tried. first time it got stuck at 2% sayin thr no space in memory card eventhough it had 2.4gb free. so i restarted phone again and downloading second time goin now 6%, without any stops. hope is works out complete.

nope the second time also, its the same. showing no space in memory card. but actually 2.4 gb is free in the card. does it need a 32gb card or wat?? its so weird.
can i download the file from somewhere and install in manually on the desire through USB??

It's not memory card space it needs its internal memory.make sure you have at least 25meg free

Hi All,

Recently made the switch from the iPhone to the HTC, what a great move.

My device has o2 Boot Screens so obviously I don't get offered the OTA update.

How can I do an update manually to the HTC version of 2.2?

Also where can I download the o2 version of 2.1 it came with in case I have any issues and need a warranty replacement or anything like that.

Help much appreciated.

Paul

Instead of going OTA and loosing root, I downloaded the rooted OTA 2.2 from xda-developers.

[ROM] Official 2.2, with: busybox, old A2SD+, OpenVPN (TUN), EXT4 support, 802.11N - xda-developers

If you don't want to loose root, install this rom (and radio). As far as I can tell, it is exactly the same version as the one coming OTA (+root and old app2sd if you partition your card [if not, it's stock Froyo app2sd]), checked the build number, it is the same: 2.09.405.8

This is NOT the HTC pre-release version (which had a lower build number, also some bugs and unpolished bits) -it's the full, official version, exactly the same you get with OTA.

The new OTA comes with a 0.9x bootloader which HAS NOT been rooted (and may never be rooted: while I seriously doubt that, I decided to play on the safe side and keep my root instead of going OTA)

Even if you didn't root, I recommend doing it and installing the rooted 2.2 - once again, it is exactly the same thing, but with old bootloader and root. And you can use apps like ModInstallLocation that can force apps to go to the SD card even if they don't want to (works like a charm, just take care not to put any apps with widgets on the card).

Just a suggestion :)

Sorry to sound like a smart ass it's not my intention but have you tried
menu/settings/about phone/system software updates, then check now?

You're not being a smart ass, i'm being a dumb ass! Just thought of it before you posted. It found the update and it loaded and installed with no problems..

Thanks anyway.

now just need to finds out what I can do with 2.2.... :D

arrrg, I've lost the mobile internet since upgrading. Anyone else had this, and more importantly resolved this?

I've got an unbranded Desire on 3uk

Got the update today, and installed it without problems.

Not noticing much of a difference, but I didn't expect to either. Some things might be a little smoother and faster, but I had no performance problems before.

Scrolling on flash-heavy web pages seems slower and less responsive however. There's some lag, and it doesn't recognize all rapid swipes. It's not a huge difference, and it only happened on some pages. Maybe it's just how the new native flash plugin works.

I hope this update has fixed the shutdown issues with the HTC Desire. Mine used to take anywhere from 10 to over 45 minutes to shut down. I tried it once and it only took several seconds, but I'll have to try it a few more times to make sure it's fixed.

Ah crap ive got problems. Phone has a clockwise turning progress icon. It gets so far then says "process system is not responding" and gives me a choice of Force Close or Wait. Both these option just reboot the phone and it starts with the clockwise progress icon again, then the message comes up again. Not getting anywhere :(
