Official eBay App?

Not convinced that it will replace my pkt Auction app, so I'll run them in tandem for a while & see which I prefer!

I've just come in here to post the same thing.

I can't see that it does anything more than Pkt Auction, other than displaying the item number in Item View. It's slower than PA, it doesn't do an ends in days:hours:minutes:seconds real-time countdown, it doesn't have a Simple View. If you're viewing an item in My eBay and switch to another app and then back to eBay it takes you back to the My eBay list and not the item view. I just did a search in the eBay app, switched to PA and then back to eBay and it took me back to My eBay and not the search results.

I would almost go as far as saying the eBay for Android app is a bad clone of Pkt Auction. Not what I expect from an official app. I think I'll stick with Pkt Auction and might even uninstall the eBay one.
 
It is version 1, so needs updating, but you guys are thinking from the view of a buyer on eBay - which I am sure PKT is fine for. When you are a seller, PKT isn't great and now the official app solves the issues and works really nicely.

What does it do from a seller's perspective over Pkt Auction?
 
I just used the eBay app to leave feedback for 2 items I recently bought, don't think I could do that with pkt
Pkt runs notifications and countdown timers better tho
No harm in using them both in tandem tho
 
I've been using this app since it was released and still use Pkt Auction, but I only just realised something today and that is I don't get notifications from the eBay app. They are enabled, but I only get the PA ones, so I disabled the PA ones, double checked I had the eBay ones enabled and I still didn't get any for items with activity today. I enabled the PA ones again and they work fine.
 
Ironically, since it was released (i downloaded) i havent needed it :o. Where as before I was relying on PA but, it didnt suite what i needed and ended up on the proper ebay site on the browser. I havent had chance to test the official app as I havent sold anything since. I like the UI better though from what I have seen of it :).
