So I went to Best Buy today and asked about the Evo. The girl told me that they expect it to come out in early June for somewhere between $200-$300 and that they should get it a week before Sprint does and that I could pre-order it.

Now before everyone freaks out and tells me that I can't believe anything she said.......believe me, I know! I'm just saying that it pretty much goes along with most of the info we have gotten. I would REALLY love to get it at Best Buy and avoid the MIR (Mail In Rebate) and to "hopefully" get it a week earlier than Sprint.

I also stopped by Wal-Mart and picked up the HD2. I have tiny hands and I was afraid that it would be too big, but I'm happy to say ladies (or gentlemen) if you have tiny hands it's no problem! And man the size of the screen is NOICE! :D

I know, all our "inside" sources seem to confirm an early/mid June release on the EVO... but I just wanted to let people know that I dropped by my local Best Buy (Emeryville, CA) this afternoon and spoke to the head mobile rep there. She was very confident that the phone would be available late May, and also to remind me about Best Buy's preorder gift card program, which would start two weeks before the release date.

I know this isn't any news, but it seems as if multiple people who have gone to their Best Buys have been receiving the same info.
 
Hello everyone. Boy am I glad the weekend is almost over. Anyways can't wait for more news on Evo. Thanks for all the helpful info guys. I really enjoy this forum.

and sprint stores to. We just have to wait and see. Till then I think we should all go somewhere when the evo comes out get waisted and then wait till 2011 for the evo 2 or whatever loll
 
i dont wanna wait too long to get my evo because im scared that if they have an advertising blitz they might run out of them

Thu, June 01 happened 2006 and will happen again in 2017... Either we're late for the party or VERY early... Lol. Or I'm zooming on the wrong part...
 
reguarding what best buy is saying, it has been stated that a sprint rep said that the release is not until august. So i dont really know if anyone knows what is going on. The people at best buy do not know what is going on that far in advance yet, they just want you to buy the phone there so they are telling you that
