I know, all our "inside" sources seem to confirm an early/mid June release on the EVO... but I just wanted to let people know that I dropped by my local Best Buy (Emeryville, CA) this afternoon and spoke to the head mobile rep there. She was very confident that the phone would be available late May, and also to remind me about Best Buy's preorder gift card program, which would start two weeks before the release date.

I know this isn't any news, but it seems as if multiple people who have gone to their Best Buys have been receiving the same info.

Now I know this may sound petty but in the videos at CTIA the signal symbol on the Evo would show 4G or 3G however in this picture it shows the old EVDO symbol. Anyone know what symbol will be used to show what data connection your on??

when on 3g you will see that, but on 4g you will see a 4g symbol...its just like they do with evdo and 1x

and sprint stores to. We just have to wait and see. Till then I think we should all go somewhere when the evo comes out get waisted and then wait till 2011 for the evo 2 or whatever loll

I remember that Best Buy had the phone a couple of days early for the Reward Zone customers. At the time, I waited for the crowd noise to settle down and didn't get it until the 17th at a Sprint store. I won't wait that long for the EVO.

reguarding what best buy is saying, it has been stated that a sprint rep said that the release is not until august. So i dont really know if anyone knows what is going on. The people at best buy do not know what is going on that far in advance yet, they just want you to buy the phone there so they are telling you that
