Hey guys, in my "inability" to study for a final tomorrow, I was checking my eligibility for an upgrade and saw this --
June 6? What do you guys make of it? Just a coincidence, or am I gonna get screwed out of my upgrade before I can get my Evo?

I'm eligible for an upgrade on 6-01-10, so hopefully thats not the case for me...i tried checking my sprint account right now but it says it's down...i'll try checking tomorrow, but i really hope you don't get screwed out of ur upgrade because that would suck.

i tried chcking but the stupid sprint site is down. i don't recall seeing those TOS on my account page. but i'm a SERO member... will soon swap to EPRP for EVO

as much as i hate to say... it's stupid for them to block up upgraders for that phone. they will loose so many customers. i think that date is referring to something else

As do I. That would make little sense to not allow upgrades.. Perhaps they're adding a change to the upgrade status, or pricing? I'm sure that information will be released along with other info on May 12. Lets cross our fingers and hope (and pray).

I think someone said before that june6th is when there pricing system resets its self, not that it really runs out then, but thats when they are supposed to get the info on the newer discount prices for phones they are selling or something like that, might be why, but it would be good to know officially what sprint says

Ahh good find, Geniuz. It is a bit coincidental that it's set for June 6, though. As I said, perhaps we'll know more come May 12.

yup. the same frantics occurred on similar boards last year for the pre. it'll just reset.
next year, everyone will be fretting that they won't be able to upgrade to the Evo2 for the same reason.

For me it is June 5th since it is a day before I bought my Pre. The weird thing is there is a $150 discount sitting on my secondary line which was started on the same day. It's been there for a month or two for no reason. I'm not complaining but it also says my main line has a $75 discount after June 5th.
I get the feeling that somehow they screwed up my primary and secondary lines. I may have to go to a Sprint store to straighten this out before going to Best Buy to get my Evo without any rebate crap.
I mean...I would still buy an Evo if I had to pay a little more. I paid something like $400 for my Pre because I wasn't eligible for a full discount yet. If it's something I want and use on a regular basis I have no problem paying for it but I don't want to miss out on a discount due to a clerical error. Hopefully that new Dan Hesse era customer service is out in force that day and hooks me up right.
