Since today is a milestone for the EVO 4G forums, I would like to say this:
I would like to welcome all the newcomers to the forum and those that have decided to join us from other forums as well. I've tried to greet each one of you myself, but it's getting a little harder to do that with so many new people coming in every day.
Just one month ago today, twospirits (our moderator) combined most of the threads that were here to form the "official" thread. At the time, there was very little activity, but there were rumors that Sprint would announce the EVO 4G (Supersonic at the time) at the CTIA wireless convention in Las Vegas on March 23-25. As it turned out, all the talk at the convention centered around Sprint's 4G WiMAX service and their HTC EVO 4G phone; the first of its kind in the US to run on WiMAX. From that point on, things have taken off for us in the HTC EVO 4G forums, but I don't think we've seen anything yet. As launch time nears, I expect this forum to get very busy with a large influx of new visitors once the EVO is announced to the general public.
When the EVO 4G launches, it will be Sprint's flagship phone and it will be the best Android device available today. As Self praise stated earlier, it will be "The King of the Droids." Because of all the attention that will be surrounding this phone, I hope we can do it proud. We have a real good group of people here with a reputation for being clean, friendly and vibrant. At this point, less than a month has passed since the EVO 4G was announced and already people are starting to get restless, but that's human nature. My hope is that we can maintain the sense of camaraderie while we wait for our phone. It's going to be difficult at times and we're going to get antsy, but it will be worth the wait in the end. In the meantime, we can all welcome the new visitors and make this a friendly place where new and old visitors alike can come to ask questions and get answers regarding the HTC EVO 4G.
Thank you
