Not a chance. Once I showed her all that the Hero could do (Remember this was back in October when the Hero really was cool...) she wanted this thing bad.
I actually offered to buy her an EVO and she said no, the Hero was fine.
well damn LOL my husband is not so bent on it either.. of course I just moved him to a Rant last year from one of those really old flip phones.. didn't even have a camera..he could really care less I suppose lol
How could she NOT want an Evo lol
On topic sorta: That link to that ebay auction with the future Evo... I started thinking (dangerous thing)... it ends on May 11th... one day before the "event" .. would it be to weird if this was their attempt at seeing how much one would sell for?

As discussed earlier in this thread BB released to rewards zone members earlier, Thursday or Friday for the Hero. I was also told at the Corp. Sprint store I arrived at first thing Sun. Oct 11th that they had sold Hero's on Saturday.

Not as I understand it. Correct me if I'm wrong someone.
I live near Springfield, MO but work during the week outside of St. Louis, MO and I had plans to be in line at some store to pick my EVO up if I could get it before I headed home on the weekend.
i posted this a while back but for some of the newer people, if you have the hero, the evo uses the same battery so when u sell your hero keep the spares...also its a good idea to invest in a couple spare batteries and a battery charger on ebay, not expensive at all

My thoughts were trying to see if this could help pin point a release date.. Like the previous one for sale stated you would get the phone 2 - 3 weeks before the release to the public.. and that ended on the 10th..
IMO, i doubt that price thing because people will pay CRAZY amounts to get something just a few days early.

Hello, I've been lurking around here and decided to post something. I have watched people get banned and sent to bannedville, or where ever, and I am a little scared of posting. I'm not quite sure why people get sent away. Is it because they were off-topic? Uh, oh....
Anyway, after reading the Radio Shack release I went over to Qik.com and started an account. So my suggestion is to start an account (that you will need for the Evo), while the cool account names are still available. Just a suggestion to all of you Evo fans out there.
But is the Hero battery Ferrari Red like the EVO's??? So awesome. I will actually pay more for the official battery to use as a spare rather than getting a generic one on ebay just to maintain this look. HOT!

they should have made the backcover someone clear or something. this way you can see the inside.

if there was high end plexiglass/plastic design that would not show dust, i would rock that back cover.
Believe me, I will be popping off the back to show off the red internals to people every chance I get (especially smug droid and iphone using friends hehe). I think it's an awesome design choice and almost a feature in itself. The outward appearance of the device is conservative, but the shocking red beneath signifies the technological power and prowess that the EVO beholds, and signifies just how cutting edge the device is. IMO of course.
