Just so I'm clear, are you saying that we won't be able to preorder from The Shack or BB before June 6th?

Your post got me to thinking a bit more and I realized that the RS rep said they had just received the 4-page, 4-week marketing document on May 6th. If we assume next week is their week 1 it coincides with the May 12th event week.

Looking at a calendar, if you assume week 1 begins this Sunday (May 9) that would mean week 4 begins on May 30. Then the first day of of week 5 is June 6th.

Naturally, this all speculation and may not mean a thing. It's just another hopeful observation...
 
I'm guessing you can't use the 69.99 Everything plan with this phone. Since there are "Special Plans" being made just FOR the EVO 4G. I'm hoping that you might be able to still get the 69.99 everything plan. 4G won't ever rollout to where I live. EVER.

Trust me you'll be able to use the $69.99 plan for the EVO.

I think the hotspot will be an additional (optional) charge - but I am assuming you can use the $69.99 simple everything plan.

someone said that the Incredible also has "Android 2.1 update 1" so while Sprint did need to modify Android for WiMAX to work I don't think it's related to the "update 1".

Daddo, your speculation got me speculating about the timeline and contest......(which may have been done many many times before, so forgive my goofy noob post)

The contest winners will be announced on or around the 18th. I assume they'll have their phones in hand & blogs set up by the 22nd. I also assume that the blogs will have a solid two weeks to run and be advertised by Sprint email blasts.......which puts the release at the 6th.

I've never obsessed this much about a silly little phone......Help :eek:

sorry to discredit you, but your post barely made sense to me.

your FCC comment:
it went into FCC to pass the test, but it wasn't passed until April 27th. Any phone that wants to come into USA would have to pass FCC anyways. Which means, technically, anyone smart person would be able to put a guess on the FCC testing 2 months ago.

Andriod 2.1:
We all kind knew it was going to run Andriod 2.1 for months since CTIA. Weeks later after CTIA, HTC leaked a document for the devs so that the Devs can implement 4g, dual camera and etc when they start creating apps. That leaked also shown that the future of evo will include froyo 2.2.

This video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdkHQ1T1MKY&feature=related (fast forward to 55 secs), the guy said it runs on andriod 2.1 @ CTIA event months ago. all the videos said that it wasn't final software, which means that they will be updating the software on andriod 2.1. Upon speculation that's nothing special that they are running Andriod 2.1 v.1.1

4G Apps:
they said during their announcement that their will be a lot of apps in the future that utilized 4g and the phone. they release the documents to the devs for this reason... nothing special about this comment

If you dig deep in the Developer Guide for the EVO 4G from Sprint, you'll find a reference to Froyo, which is the next version of Android, likely to be released in Fall 2010. While the 4G device will ship with Android 2.1, this news implies that Sprint and HTC will issue a Froyo update to EVO 4G owners later this year.

ha you havent been around long enough for it to make sense. This was a big week for me and everyone here. I have been saying most of this stuff for 2 months now, and all of it has suddenyl become a reality =]

We're a family here, u'll be in it too, it just takes time

Heh, hate to burst your bubble man but this is the SAME thing that is listed for the incredible as far as version #. That does not mean its some super secret version that was made just for the EVO as you are claiming. Go read the incredible threads, theirs all say 2.1 update 1 also! Your posts seem very smug lately and it's annoying but I'll stop there and not go any further. /sarcasm on... Thanks for another "useful update" /sarcasm off

No I'm not Ajac so don't ask lol I'm just another person who is getting irritated with someone posting the same info over and over that's ALL over the net and acting holier than everyone else! Sorry to the rest of the community and back on topic now!

Good grief man, don't break your arm patting yourself on the back. I'm so tired of you claiming to be the reason we have the info we do. About 10 people are bringing more credible info here than the darts you've been throwing at the wall for 6 weeks.

And for the record, you've said a LOT of things...About 25% of which were true. And most of that stuff was rehashed info you could find on the Internet.

thank you sir... i've welcome myself to this family when i saw rebella's leak and Bluescreens leak. within 2 days, i did 100 post. in these 100 post i've have increased credibility with getting thanks from the members.

I also want to welcome you back to our world. During the time you were gone, i've heard a lot of mentions about this guy name Jackson...
