Well it looks like you are trying to start something!!

If you really search he also said later that it would come with 2.1 modified!!!

Stop trying to start something. You have been reported too!!
sorry, but like i said previous, that wasn't my intentions. my intentions were intially trying to find his crediblity. thanks for reporting me. but i honestly did not see anything wrong by looking through previous post and commenting. afterall it's a speculations thread. what i did was merely comment on someone speculations. i did not put down or call out names that was a put down.

end of discussion. we will see bans later as trident said.

i dont want to get reported, but you do realize there is a difference between modifying an entire operating system and modifying specific applications that run on that operating system right?

everything that i have seen shows that the evo has the same operating system as the htc incredible, and the "modifications" that were done are strictly to the specific applications so that they can take advantage of the 4g capabilities. i mean with 4g all we are really talking about is the radio; the htc sense ui for android 2.1 is going to look the same on the evo as it does on the incredible, just with a bigger screen with larger pixels.

initially i was trying to look for jackson's post months ago (or so he say) that commented on andriod 2.1 modified. but i did not see anything.

what novoken commented on was jacksons post on modified 2.1 that was posted in May, not months ago.

unless you are talking about single day sales, which the evo has a chance at beating. I could see a VERY aggressive ad campaign helping the first weekend of sales, but again, I really dont think we will get a lot of people switching networks just for this phone this year. With the economy now, people arent going to pay an etf just to get a new phone. I can see when people's contracts expire, they will move to sprint. But for the first weekend of sales, i think it will be at least 80% sprint upgrades.

I have a 3G, and a 3GS. That said...

I can't wait to jump ship to Sprint when the EVO launches.

The EVO might not be quite as capable (in some areas, like design and feel) as the iPhone. It's got tons of advantages over the iPhone. 8 MP... gorgeous screen... HDMI out... HD video play and record... 4G... free tethering on 4G... ETC... And AT&T sucks...

Not only will I save money per month, I'll have free tethering for my iPad. And I'll still have two glorified iTouch's to play with.

This is a no brainier to me.

No one said tethering would be free, possible yes but I don't know about officially free.

Pretty sure I read right in the Sprint contract.

4G tethering is free and unlimited, 3G tethering will cost a small amount per MB usage level.

So.... yeah, someone said that. ;)

What Sprint contract would that be? I'm looking at my Sprint Agreement and it doesn't say anything to acknowledge the "fact".

Apparently I did not make myself clear in the last 2 warnings I made.

Do not attack, flame, bait, instigate, ridicule, insult or be rude to your fellow members. Post about the specific topic of this thread or not at all.

This thread is about to be cleansed and infractions/vacations are going to be handed out.

Despite my better judgment I am going to leave the thread open, although I think I am really just supplying more rope for some of you. If things continue the way that they have been, there will be several more people banned and this thread will be closed.

Dude you deserve a permanent band, do you have nothing more to do in your life?

Today will be my last day posting here, I'm through with all this BS. dude you have no life. srsly grow up. People would not follow me and like me this much if what i said was not revolutionary...

btw here you go Google Image Result for http://cdn4.mattters.com/photos/photos/1228346/htc-evo-4g-01-top.jpg

^it lost the red circle. this is what i was refering to

No it did not heh, in that picture the circles are still clearly there.

Oh brother. We have our first martyr.

Thanks for re-posting the link, recondite43. Somebody postulated that the EVO would get an OTA update as soon as its turned on - which is fine by me. I'll just be happy to have it!

"The device does indeed exist I've seen it. My buddy has one. He has been issued the phone by Sprint not HTC. Very interesting. The 4G on the phone does not worl yet because Sprint has not turned the 4G "light switch" on yet. It will be able to switch between a 4G, 3G, and EV-DO signal depending on where you are however. You will be able to stick with the same plan you are on. There will be no switching of that. Otherwise the device is as rumored 4.3 inches and that new sweet 2.1 sense UI with helicopter view. Be looking for this phone at CTIA in March, it will be released soon after that"

It will - you'll need headphones plugged in to function as an antenna, however.

I know it may sound silly, but I've always hated the need for the headphones to get the FM radio playing.

We've come so far. I know they can find a way around that.

Don't let the door hit ya in the you know what child. It will INDEED need headphones for the FM radio to work, go ask the incredible users and see for yourself! It will be the same FM tuner I'm sure.

To be fair, I guess it kind-of, sort-of works without the headphones in. So technically you don't need them...but in reality, if you want any kind of usability you need the headphones in.
