I will be very, very unhappy if the phone is released on the 13 instead of the 6. The extra week, at this point, feels like a lot :\.

yeah i know it but then again for those of us that is still stashing money back it will allow people to still get in on the day 1 release LOL

In particular, I've seen several non-tech minded women whom preferred the Eris to the Droid, but there is no such choice here (I know the Hero is essentially the same thing, but it could be perceived as being an old device by now)

This is why I wish they would announce the Legend as the lower-end companion to the Evo.

I have a 15 dollar rewards coupon myself. It expires June 5th and if the phone comes out June 6th who knows if I'll get to use it. But I may just do Sprint so I can bill my account. Like someone else said by the time I get the rebate i n 4 weeks it will be time for my next bill. So I am hoping to just pay extra on my June and July's bill. I usually get them to waive the activation fee. It used to auto be waived for buisness people with discounts but I don't think they do that anymore. On my Pro 2 I got activation and shipping waived plus paid 199.

Well, If the rebates are like they were for the pre, you WONT get them in 30 days more like 2-4 months

June 13th would suck for me. I am leaving the 12th to go out of town for a month and that means I wouldn't be able to pick it up until July 13th. I would be really fn annoyed. Will they ship it to you? Maybe I can get my mom to ship it to me, but then I'm worried about breakage in transit...blah!

Sooner the better for me but I think my Premier rebate says June 1st as of now so any time before that is out. I want the Evo on launch day but not enough to spend another couple hundred bucks to get it a week early.

IT'S TOMORROW PEOPLE. All will be revealed :)

I'm really hoping that they will say they have froyo on the evo at start or say in one week you'll get froyo :D

I just got done talking to a Best BUY in overland Park and here's what I was told:

1. The guy said that he was just recently trained (last Tuesday) on the phone.

2. I asked him about a release date and he said that no bestbuy should know what the release date is as Sprint was tight lipped about it while they were training them.

3. I asked about the price and he said that no best buy knows the price yet.

4. He was told that the everything and simply everything plan will work for the evo

5. The most interesting thing he said was that Sprint is suppose to release the EVO info this friday due to some conference ( <---- not to sure about that one)

The guy I spoke to was really nice and seemed like he knew what he was talking about - I guess we will see.

...But it showed watching a show from CBS so I am sure it will do the same at ABC. Sprint TV has ABC too. I can't wait to see how a show looks on the big screen of the phone.

They were actually streaming directly from the CBS website. HIMYM (How I Met Your Mother) has full episodes available for viewing on the CBS website.

Will someone PM me the link as well? I don't plan to stop reading here, just want to read there as well.

You're not missing much. I get emails from one of those guys and they have gotten increasingly messianic in tone...kinda annoying.

This forum and Android Central have much better content and aren't as concerned with who the true leader of inside info is, etc.

As for content, I ran across this but am not sure if it is more Ozcar-caliber rumor-mongering.

HTC EVO possibly coming sooner than June 6th | DroidedUp

So far I'm pretty deadset about may 12 revealing date and price which in my mind is june 6 and 200 dollars on contract and maybe tomorrow they will mention froyo.

1 MORE DAY O_O

hopefully all rumors will end tomorrow :)

I've gotta say I've been kind of reading on and watching and waiting for tomorrwo, I hope new news will come of all this. I'm pretty sure this has been posted, but are we expecting a new plan for the EVO. I personally think that depending on what that plan comes out to be, will be a deal breaker for me. I already have 4 lines with Sprint and pay a small fortune to keep all the lines going. Again if this has already been posted let me know or better yet if anyone has info pass it along thanks!:D

I think they might show a new plan for evo but you won't need to have it, you can use everything and simply everything with evo.

Don't worry, a lot of things have been re-posted :)

This is a big question for a lot of us. Different sources have used different wording so sometimes it sounds like new plans and other times it sounds like the prices will be the same except for the hotspot app.

Personally I don't think it would be wise to raise prices as Wimax is going to be new and they want to convert as many people over as they can. Likewise it is not available nationwide so it would be tough to charge for something you can only use sometimes.

Still, as long as they stay lower than the competition I will stick with them. I can't imagine that an Evo on Sprint will cost $30-50 more which is what I would pay if I switched my current plan to another carrier.

Thanks. I always look for nuggets suggesting a much earlier than June release. Just don't think these phones would be in warehouses and store inventories if they weren't planning on getting them out now. Wouldn't make sense for Sprint to train BB employees unless release is upon us. But I also think it might be that this phone gets released in some markets before a broader national release a few days later.

I'm still hoping these are out by May 22/23. The sooner they get them out, the more hands-ons they'll have before iPhone comes out. I don't see it as much as Evo vs iPhone as I do "a reason to switch to Sprint" vs "a reason to stay with ATT." I think ATT will lose more customers than VZW due to this phone and 4G, but the losses will be from people who are discontent with service and Android phone options more so than iPhone abandoners.

It sounds like they may rename the plan for the EVO and have the Hotspot as an option. At least I hope that is all they are doing.
