Then you say later that you were in the room when best buy turned down a pre order deal and only radio shack would have it. Then you said you will be at best buy tomorrow morning (in the florida keys while on vacation?) to ask if they have a pre order. Then you say you asked a radio shack employee wearing a suit in a store about pre orders and he said the 21st.

************?! I guess I'm way too trusting or gullible, that I would put trust in a random person on the internet. If you actually did work on the phone, that's great, thank you. But it's now hard to put any trust in anything you've said because it sounds like a bunch of BS at this point.

It would be pretty tacky for me to email all the people who are kind enough to give me a gift and say, oh wait some guy on the internet is saying it's radio shack now, so give me a gift card from there, thanks. Don't bother explaining anything, it doesn't matter anymore, I've learned to just wait for official info and not waste time listening to rumors from random people on the internet. That should have been much more obvious to me before. Oh well.


I should add, since the above post is so negative, that I'm thrilled to have a price and OFFICIAL release date and all the new hands on videos have been a lot of fun to see. I can't wait to get the EVO!

~Um, your point is well taken, though harsh, and I have never use the (F)word in this thread. I just get the info as it comes in. I did see Radio Shack sign the deal on May 6th w/Sprint. I talked with him over casual drinks and cigars and he slipped me May 21st and 29th. I posted that information 2-3days ago. I did receive information that BB is going to participate in a pre order program too. I posted that information (standard $50 gift card program) I just simply did not clarify. I feel awful about that. Radio Shack and Best Buy is doing pre orders on the same day You can still use your BB gift cards to get your phone, though right?. I think this sucks and I am going to refrain using my SM kb. I mean the information is moving so fast and you want to help out, but I can’t keep up with the pages. I'm a arse, sorry again.

Yup! Just got the email also! Looks like I'm going to Best Buy tomorrow! Thing is, it says available for pickup by June 4.

If Radio Shack has an exclusive "early" release for pre-orders like Blue Screen mentioned, I may do that instead.

Darn, it's tempting to pull the trigger at BB soon, but if it means even 1 day earlier to get the phone.......

I hope RS confirms pre-orders soon/earlier release date or I'll just pre-order it at BB.

BB seemed to have a $15 off special for the Incredible too, hope they do something for the EVO, doesn't seem like a lot, but it'd pay for tax (or 1 1/2 month of the premium data, lol)
 
Can someone please point me to where radio shack officially says they are even going to have the evo. I can not find an ad, information, or even the word htc evo 4g on radio shacks site.

Anyone got a official link?
 
Okies,

I have partied, posted, pooped, and re-posted. I am done for the night, my SM Kb doesn't even work, it's just one big light. I have to say it makes for a nice glow though. I wanted to stay up and share in the release. I got my arse kicked, upside down and sideways. I mean for post's that I made around 2pm. and got hammered for it. I don't even remember 2pm, what heck does that mean? I mean info was turning on dime. I am cool though, it's a good day. I/we got our info on EVO..poopoo. I am outtie like kirk gouttie.

Does anyone know if Sprint.com will have a pre sale as well?

I have a discount through work and would like to port 5 lines (I hear there is a $100 credit per line, might be just corp though), plus free activation online. Not sure if a BB or RS can handle all of that.

But, if I am wrong, please let me know.

Now I don't know what to do? I have 15 bucks in Rewards from BB that expires June 6th.. But I was going to maybe do the buy back at Sprint or RS whoever gave me more for my Pro 2. Noone is going to let you have the phone before June 4th are they? Does Telesales ever let you slide a day or two early. Guess I am going into my RS tomorrow cause they want to see this chip on my phone and then they are going to tell me how much I can get for it.. I so can't wait for this phone.

I'm over it now BlueScreen, no hard feelings, and sorry for swearing in my previous post. The more I think about it, if radio shack sells it on the 29th and I get it on the 4th from best buy, I won't die. I don't like radio shack anyway so I don't really want to buy anything from them other than an occasional adapter. The EVO will be amazing and I've already waited how many days since first hearing rumors of the Supersonic like over a year ago? Take it easy.

thanks... i still find it funny that majority of the people took people's credit... guess what i said previously wasn't such a big deal. now that it happen, it's still less of a deal. but wrong info get's more attention than correct info! LOL
 
I'm leaning towards going to Best Buy to place my pre-order tomorrow, but at the same time, part of me wants to wait for Radio Shack in the event that they get an "early" release on the 29th. Decisions, decisions. I'll just have to sleep on it and decide tomorrow.

btw, for anybody that's familiar with Best Buy's pre-order policy, does the "time" that you pre-order dictate when you can actually get the phone or does it not matter?
