Yeah you can definitely feel it. I got to see and hold Bill's EVO he purchased today and it is a very sturdy feeling device. Its heavy but not too much, feels like quality not like its too bulky. The camera is definitely not flush with the back of the phone but it doesn't rest on the lens.

So you guys got to meet up.

I has been stated that 4G was intended to be uncapped, and w/ the $10 fee, the 5gb cap for 3G will disappear.

Best to verify it w/ a Sprint rep for comfort, search the thread though, it was discussed earlier.

Just got a call from BB to schedule my appt. Friday the 4th, they open @ 10AM, so naturally I took the 10AM appt. On thing I just realized is that if I want my phone to operate optimally, I will have to take the phone home, turn it off and charge it for at least 12hrs. I dunno if i have the patience in me to do it!

The most anticipated pictures. I happen to have a itouch sitting in the house that i have not opened yet. i used the itouch as a comparison with the evo. Since the itouch screen and the iphone screen is the same i think the pictures below can show you how huge the screen is. also the itouch had a sticker with the graphics of it on, i peeled it off and stick it on the evo screen for better comparison.

The photograph showing the iPod Touch over the EVO does not seem right. In the photo, when the iPod Touch is placed over the EVO, one can see the "back" key. This means that the iPod Touch should be a little more than 1/2 the width of the EVO, with a whole lot of EVO screen shown on the side, which is clearly not the case, as shown in the next photograph with the 3 phones lying side by side. I don't think the EVO screen is so much wider than the iPod Touch, though it is certainly bigger. On closer examinations, one can see that the iPod touch is placed on top and to the left of the EVO. Also the edge comparison between the EVO and the TP2 is like comparing apples to oranges because the TP2 has a physical keyboard, whereas the iPod Touch & EVO do not.

Just my 2 cents.

I believe the photo was for a length comparison where the ipod cover was laid "offset" not as a width comparison.

It isn't. Please refer to my previous comments. The iPod Touch seems to be on the top and to the left of the EVO, which makes the EVO look huge.

Who really knows... Some people say yes, some people say no... Flame wars have been started over the topic... Do what you feel comfortable in doing... If you have any doubt, wait the extra couple hours and fully charge it...

I agree, but my first impression when I saw the photo was that the EVO was so much bigger than the iPod Touch. Then I saw the buttons and realized that the iPod Touch was not place directly on top of the EVO.

Part # 687860002 is indeed 1.5 meters = 4.92 feet long

Part # 687860003 is indeed 2 meters = 6.56 feet long

If any of you order from Arrow and pay for a 6.56' long cable PLEASE be sure to check your order to make sure they sent you the right length. There are 2 different part #s one being shorter than the other.

When the lady in the video turns over the EVO and the Incredible and mentions that the lens and flash are the same, I noticed that the 2 LED flashes on the EVO is farther away from the lens than in the Incredible. This will be a slight advantage to the EVO because there will be less interference from the flash itself when the photograph is being taken. The closer the flash is to the lens, the more chance of the photograph being overexposed. These are my thoughts. Can any photographer confirm this?

Not positive, but I believe that's just for the phones given out at the Google conference.

From the various Unboxing videos I have seen in this forum, it seems to me that the battery that comes with the EVO contains some charge right out of the box. So abyss5150 should be able to play with the phone for some time before the battery gets charged.

No, the distance of the flash in relation to the lens has no bearing on correct exposure. However, the farther the flash from the lens, the less chance of red-eye.
That said, this small of a difference, especially in camera phones, probably won't matter anyways.

Off-topic: I wonder if the guy in the video had a lot of caffeine, or was going through withdrawals. I was dizzy after watching..............

I do want to note or maybe even argue, that when she says that the iphone display looks more brighter and vibrant. Is due to the fact that the EVO comes with the default sprint skin, which is mainly black, grey, and white with a touch of sprint yellow. I dont think its a fair assessment. She should have put on a different more colorful skin. Then make a comparasion. Otherwise good review.

Unlike Bill I have to report that I have a handset which does have the leakeage reported by Engadget.

It is not extreme, but if you look closely under the home, menu, and back buttons there is a small amount of leakage, it also is under the search button as well however I did not capture that in the shot. BTW This picture was taken with a Hero, not the EVO.
